The lady was awesome and really helpful. The room was comfortable and warm, however the microwave was broken :/ front desk was very helpful in warming my dinner for me!

There’s always a fine line between good and excellent and for a small town this was a good choice. I checked in late but it was no problem. The lady in the office was accommodating and efficient to get me checked in. It’s an older property as most of these small town motels are but I’m keen on supporting locally owned businesses. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable and I slept well. I wouldn’t let it stop me to stay in an older property. We need to support local businesses. I read all the reviews and wasn’t put off by the more negative ones. I sometimes think people have way too high expectations. I recommend this as a place to stop for the night and get a good rest. The town itself has few amenities but kapuskasing is under an hour before and Cochrane is 25 minutes. So try it out.

Easy check in & the room is ok but there are some dead flies in the bathroom and in the window. So I have to clean it.

Heated indoor storage for snowmobiles for extra $10 was awsome, more places should do so, lots of parking for vehicles with trailers

Had to clean dishes myself when I arrived because they were dirty, "nonstick" pots provided for kitchenette were scratched to the point that they were unusable and the shelves were covered in crumbs from previous person. Showerhead in the shower not up to building code standards, had to go on my knees to wash my hair and I'm only 6'4". Then I overpaid because the attendent told me after I booked an additional night with Expedia that their "actual price" was 30 dollars cheaper, and that I shouldn't use the app. Then when I asked about a weekly rate the attendent took three days to find it out after which, lo and behold, I overpaid again because they can't list their weekly rate? Place is a joke, wouldn't waste money again.

Has locked heated indoor snowmobile parking for 10$ a night. Huge after those long days of riding or hauling a snowmobile to the destination.

Older decor but room was clean and comfortable hot water took a long time to warm up bright lights outside in parking area need blinds to pull down. But I would stay there again decent for the price.

room wasn’t clean, the bed covers and sheets had stains and lots of bugs

The property, facility and rooms are very dated and need of repairs. The parking area is gravel with numerous potholes. Many of the occupents were from various corporate road crews with their company vehicles and equipment. The room was dark, worn and dated. The sink area had 1 out of 4 light bulbs. The bathroom fixtures were all very slow in draining. When the a/c unit kicked in the overhead light would flicker. We were traveling with our 2 senior dogs, thus requested a pet friendly room. There was an extra charge $20/dog. It was obviously this was a dog room from the scratches on the door and walls.

Bed sheet and floor was dirty.

The smell in the room like that it is not opened from many days.

The owners and staff are always very helpful. This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel as we had work to conduct in the area. The rooms are very comfortable, the kitchinets work great for what we needed! Thank you - we will stay here again next time!
