The property is dated but clean. Location is great, lots of parking on the street. The owner was very helpful when we had issues with the codes.

Great spot! Lovely manager and super easy check in and out! Only downside I can think of was some of the other guests being noisy coming home from a night out at 3am. But that’s not staffs fault! Great place overall, will definitely be back!!!

It's a great spot in the middle of a busy bar area. That being said it means it will be a little noisy at night but the mornings are peaceful and quiet. The building is old so even with the heat on, it'll always be a little chilly. The staff was very helpful when I forgot my phone in my room and couldn't get in and the food is good in the bar

I always stay at Pensione Popolo when I visit Montreal to see Alanna Sterling in concert. The hotel is eclectic and fun and is a great place to stay when Alanna Sterling performs at clubs in the area. Lots of great restaurants and bars within walking distance. The hotel even gives you a discount at the restaurant downstairs which is conveniently open late. No need to order delivery when you can just go downstairs. The next time Alanna Sterling performs in Montreal, I will definitely stay at Pensione Popolo again.

super cute and charming stay!! great price and location with many restaurants and bars within a 15 minute walk. the shared space was so cute and everything was very clean. Staff were SO nice and accommodating, quick to respond. would definitely recommend for a traveler looking for more eclectic experiences!!!(:

Lovely little hotel conveniently placed above a cute and hip bar/restaurant with vegan options. Reasonable price and great location.

It's not fancy but a great option if this is the area in Montreal you're looking to visit. Worked really well for my family of four to catch a concert at the nearby Fairmont Theatre. Clean enough for sure and we felt safe and secure.

We loved Pensionne Popolo and will be back! It was very convenient to restaurants, all kinds of shopping, music events, and close to the Metro. The room and shared bathrooms were clean and the other guests were quiet and respectful.

This is a really fun place to stay. If you are able to carry your bag up four or five flights of stairs. It was a great price and the place has lots of personality!

No hay servicio de recepción, todo funciona con códigos. No había secador ni ningún otro servicio que en ocasiones puede ser.util. Las camas eran cómodas.

This hostel-like stay was pretty convenient. We had a private room with our own bathroom but they have multiple bathrooms on the main level for others. The window did not lock which made me a little uneasy. I liked the location of this place. The shopping strip with many restaurants was within walking distance. Casa del Popolo was a decent vegan restaurant with outside seating by the street or back patio that offered live music in the private room for $20. The music from shows is loud in the room and there is no TV but we didn't mind. Overall it was a decent stay and we would stay here again.

Arrivée et départ en autonomie. Propre. Tout le necessaire pour une bonne nuit en comprenant WC et salle de bain. Possibilité de manger au restaurant du même nom.

Tout s’est bien passé mais seulement personnel n’est pas accessible en cas de souci ou question. Aussi plusieurs nuits lais la chambre jamais été faites ni les draps changés.

I love this boutique hotel. It’s funky, vintage and eclectic vibe is right up my alley.
