Our stay at Sea Edge Beachside Hotel in Parksville was exceptional. Beside its beautiful beachfront location, Rex at reception who was friendly and thoughtful. Our room and washroom were impressively clean, creating a peaceful and welcoming environment. We especially appreciated the comfort and thoughtful touches that made the space feel so inviting. Being steps away from the beach and nearby attractions added so much joy to our trip. The cozy balcony, generous living space, beautiful view, and fully equipped kitchen made it perfect for family get away/gathering!

Nikita and the Staff have done an incredible job to turn this beachside property into a superb family get away. The location and views on the beach are superb. Add to that the option for Gazebo Camp fires, beach side BBQ’s, and tonnes of play options for the kids - and it’s tough to beat. We ended up extending our stay :)

What I like most is walking out on my patio and going straight to the beach. The tide cycle was perfect for our visit and a lovely stroll along the boardwalk led us to the Sandcastle festival displays. This was my fourth visit and this hotel has evolved with updated rooms and amenities inside and out. We will be back.!

Arriving in a paradise-like environment to kind and welcoming staff is the perfect start to any stay. We stayed in 2 different rooms. For obvious reasons the more spacious room felt like better value however, both accommodations were clean, comfy and inviting. I highly recommend this facility and we will be returning.

What a gem this was! We were lucky enough to get this for one night ground floor staring out at the water. What a picture ask lovely place. The only downside was we only were there for one night. Next time I would book in for two or three nights. Lovely spot.

Just a great stay, big clean room with a great location

Have been coming to Sea Edge for over 26 years and this is the best it has ever been. I love being there!

Property is very family friendly and the staff were excellent. We found the two bedroom cabin very hot at night as the air conditioning unit is only in the living room. The lighting was also not ideal. Main room either had blaring bright lights or no lights at at all. Great amenities available and free mini golf was appreciated.

Best value ive ever gotten for the price. They got us a room when we got a flat tire and I was very impressed with the room and amenities for the price of the room. Absolutely recommend staying here!

The place was beautiful and clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The beach was fantastic. We are going back next year.

We had a wonderful 3 nights at this motel! From check in to check out, it was a great experience… the grounds are lovely, the property backs right onto the beach! Our room was fantastic, lots of space for us (2 adults and a teen)… only complaint was noise from the people above us but we popped on the a/c fan and it mostly drowned it out. The location was great, we were able to walk around and enjoyed the proximity to the boardwalk. Highly recommend!

Beautiful area, clean, access to beach, lots of picnic tables and 2 gazebo, walking distance to sand castle event. Kids can play at the backyard, paddle board in the afternoon. Loved it.

Always a good time!

We have stayed at Sea Edge on and off for 15 years - the location just can't be beat - beach, sunset, cruise ships, ocean, boardwalk, park, sandcastle competition, bands in park, fireworks, BBQ's, Tuesday street market, ice cream truck, wood fired pizza truck, etc. - even free mini golf. The recent renovations were overdue, and are very comfortable and well designed - great look and feel. Ground floor rooms opening to the ocean front grounds are the best choice, although they do come with "noise" from the suite over. Perhaps the thing we love the most is how social Sea Edge is - everyone is friendly and chatty and hospitable, and many have been staying there for over 25 years. The new community room with indoor and outdoor lounge and dining, spaces, big screen tv, games, putting, fireplaces, pool table, bbq's, etc. adds to this social ambience (if you so choose). There is even a great coffee machine with free hot chocolate through to espresso - which saves the 10 minute drive the Starbucks. We miss the connection / history with the previous owner / family, but the new operators are superb - very friendly, very accommodating, very helpful, very hospitable - they are young, but "on point". We love Sea Edge, and as my daughter says - "i like the vibe". We can't wait to return. Hint - it is cheaper to book on Expedia then direct.

I like the property and the views were amazing. Only complaint was that the kitchen garbage hadn’t been emptied from previous visitor. It was full upon arrival.

The location is fab. The rooms are ok. Nice and spacious but the sofa is very uncomfortable and the pillows slide down that you’re practically sitting on the floor. Bathroom needs a good deep clean as there is mold running along the base of the shower and dirt in the corners of the room. The worst though was we were awakened three times in the night by the TV turning on and someone trying to sign into a streaming account. Very frustrating especially having to resettle a two year old. Lady at front desk said she would look into it. Never heard back from her. Told the man on the evening desk who implied that was impossible. Uh no it happened not once but three times during the night. I also had my clean the room sign out from 9 am onwards. Called the desk at 2 pm to ensure room would be cleaned as we needed garbages emptied and towels and coffee. Was assured the room would be attended to. 7 pm still nothing. Another trip to the front desk and we got our garbage emptied. Not good service at all. Truly I think they need more cleaning staff. The focus is clearly on check outs only. Would I come back? Likely as the location is wonderful.
