We had a seamless check in and were pleasantly surprised with our accommodations. The room was spotless and looked to be recently renovated. The beds were very comfortable. Our only disappointment was the pillows (we will bring our own next time). We will choose this property for our next stay in Wiarton.

The staff were great, but the motel cleanliness was subpar, when we arrived the hotel smelled so strong of cleaning solution, stung your nose kind of strong. There were some dead bugs around the room. The sheets didn't seemed like maybe they werent changed as there was some hair in the sheets. The room also didn't feel very secure, only a door knob lock and there was a door leading to a back hall way that was not allowed to accessed by us but it did lead outside. The wifi was really spotty and I thought there was free breakfast included which could have been my mistake but there was no breakfast. The staff were really nice and friendly but the place needs some work to make it more inviting.

Dirty sheets

Room was very clean and quiet, comfortable beds and pillows, fridge, microwave and coffee maker in room. Quiet baseboard electrical heating. TV was a nice large size with hundreds of channels and news channels. Friendly service. We were very satisfied staying there. Definitely recommend Shenstone Motor Inn.

Very good and helpful staff

Old furniture piled in the yard, door had no dead bolt, big space around the door. Bathroom had an old rusted floor heater almost falling off the wall, dirty windows. Not impressed

Picnic table by our room half broken and one side sitting on the ground, looks like old table legs/lights from renovation (?) piled up behind where we had to park. Weather stripping around door missing and could see light around the entire door, electric heat was not turned on in the room and got down to 8 degrees at night so we were glad we brought a fan/heater from home for background noise, shower temp was actuality really good, towels were very small for showering, showerhead was kinda terrible. Wifi was virtually non existent. We paid our deposit in cash as we do not use credit cards and they do not accept debit for depisit (what?!) and then was informed we could not check out early or we wouldn't be able to get our deposit back as no staff are on before 1030-11am?! Really?? We will not be back.

Clean and easy access are the main reason we like. If you need an affordable sleeping this is a good choice

We had a very positive experience. The Lady at the front desk was very helpful about things to do in the area and getting us set up in our room. The room was also very nicely set up and very clean. The beds are real nice and even the accent chairs are comfortable. Perfect temperature as well, and everything worked. I strongly recommend people to stay here.

The room was not clean. The powerful smell of the cleaning product that was used.

Pleasant manager. Property in disrepair. Flys in restaurant. Junk and broken items outside rooms. Plumbing temperatures reversed. Comforter on bed well beyond its useful lifespan. No kleenex. Bath soap shatters if dropped (its very old and dried out). Entrance door looked like it has been broken into. Curled corners on carpet. Greenish cast to room lights. Small tv with limited channels. Appropriate price.

I don’t recommend it.

Though the motel was located conveniently just beside the highway but the smell around the motel was not pleasant. TV in the room was not working and toiletries were off poor quality ( compared to the price charged) . However staffs were good.

We arrived at the motel around 3:30PM (check-in was at 4PM) and immediately had doubts when we saw the ripped screen on the door. At first glance, the room didn’t look too bad, but then we noticed flies everywhere. I went back to the front desk to explain that we were not happy with the room. Instead of offering a proper solution, the staff offered us bug spray and said, “you know we’re in the country.” We told her we’d rather not stay there, but she said they couldn’t adjust the reservation since it was made through Expedia and told us to call them directly. When we contacted Expedia, they reached out to the motel, who then denied the refund request. Would never stay here again and absolutely do not recommend this place.

The property was much older than it looked in the advertisement. The check in service was okay. The room looked much older as well and everything in general was worn out. Everything had a lingering smell from whatever has happened in that building before, the bedsheets, the pillows, blankets everything smelled and were not properly clean. Even the tap water smelled, we’re guessing the system of tubes is too old. All of our problem was that it was not as advertised. We knew full well we booked something modest but were expecting clean and comfy. The place was anything but that. The area also felt very unsafe. It was right on the street with random people stopping by and making noise, because the motel had a restaurant as well. We didn’t dare to try the restaurant. Overall, not a pleasant stay at this place. Would not recommend!

Front screen door slams with loud noise even when closing slower.. 3 people were registered only 2 towels.. one shampoo tube was 1/3 full and second was half full, meaning used… a bug noted in bathroom. Bed was comfy, room was clean.. nothing special, good for overnite stay… front desk was friendly..
