This unit was attractive, spacious and clean.
Appears recently remodeled with nice kitchen appliances and laundry. Pots and pans in kitchen were adequate, although you probably wouldn't cook a super-elaborate multi-course meal. Lots of dishes and glasses, so if you eat in repeatedly you won't need to run the dishwasher or hand wash after every meal.
Barely over a block from the Metro station so transit is convenient. We didn't rent a car but I expect parking in this area is challenging. Nice (although expensive) little grocery store is right across the street and tons of reasonable restaurants within a few blocks. We really liked the Vietnamese and ramen restaurants a block away in either direction on rue Rachel.
Of course, being right on the commercial street, there is some street noise in the front bedroom, but even on the weekend evenings it wasn't too intrusive. Nothing on this block seems to attract raucous crowds. The other bedroom is even better for quietness. We never heard any sounds from other units in the building. The only complaint I could make is that one night it was windy and the windows rattled a bit.
I would definitely stay here again if I was coming back to the Plateau Montreal.
