The staff were absolutely amazing! Such a nastalgic room, great entertainment and right in the heart of everything. I wish we had coffee! Otherwise, it would have been a solid 5.❤️

The room was unique and even larger than expected. The staff was super friendly and accommodating and they have a great pub right downstairs with a live band for food and beer on a Saturday night.

Clean, comfortable and in walking distance to the sights. They provide a white noice Bluetooth speaker to drown out the noise from the band which is thoughtful.

This is a historic old building, but there are a few things that could be done to make the room more comfortable. Things like installing a few outlets, bedside tables, a spot for suitcases, a TV in the sleeping area. Nothing major, but these things would have made the stay more comfortable/enjoyable. Also, letting guests know there is the potential from noise from the pub downstairs when there is a band would be helpful for some guests (didn't bother us, but might some).

Great stay! Friday night band was a lot of fun, food was great as usual, and the room was very comfortable. Front desk staff were excellent.

The positives - great location, quaint and nicely decorated, historic. The negatives - front desk support left the minute we checked in, overpriced for the amenities, couldn't even get a coffee in the room or pub, tiny bathroom, and rock band played LOUDLY into the night ... thought they were in the room with us it was SO LOUD. I knew the room was above a pub but that warning would have been useful.

We enjoyed our stay in a nice little room in this historic inn. Check in was easy, staff were friendly and the room was clean and comfortable. There is a pub on the ground floor, so we expected some noise, as we were advised of at the time of booking, and it was fine. Great food, drink and staff in the pub. We would definitely stay again.

Charming old hotel. Exudes history. Tiny shower, but it works. Clean room & linen. Pub is very friendly, as are staff. Great location.

The room was ok. Old by tidy. The bathroom is in a hallway that connects bedroom and a small living room.the shower was uncomfortably small and water was extremely hot after it took awhile to warm up. I would not recommend the colonel room.

The pub was very convenient for dining and drink options. The room was very clean but due to the live band it was extremely loud and little sleep was possible before 1:00 a.m.

Love this old hotel, amazing experience!

Beds are double not queen sized as advertised. Bathroom sink faucet needs to be tightened (flops over to the basin). Towel racks and toilet paper holder need to be secured as well. Kitchen table very sticky even when wiped! Otherwise we love the Swayze Cottage.

Beautiful location!

Needs more electrical outlets, inconvenient for people with cpap machines. Rooms are above a noisy bar/tavern open until 1 am. Receptionist answered phone, and instead of putting that call on hold , made us wait until she was done with that call. No elevator if you have a problem with stairs.

We got a great welcome at the Angel, The pub/hotel is quirky and full of character. The food was really good and the staff couldn’t be nicer. It is a pity that you can’t make a hot drink in your room as there is no morning catering. I would highly recommend this place.

Welcoming staff.I would suggest doing wineries after doing checking if theres no parking on site.We found out after checking in we paid 40 for overnight parking across the road at a restaurent.We found out later that after 8 pm to 8am its free in fornt of the inn if theres any available spots.
