Great experience, room was large clean and comfortable. Staff at the hotel and restaurant were friendly and helpful, service was great. Restaurant was likely the best hotel restaurant I have ever been to.

If you're looking at staying in Stratford or the Waterloo/Kitchener area, you're going to want to stay here. Absolutely gorgeous lodging, inside and out. Google Street View does not give it justice. Could not have asked for a better experience. Any issues that arose were immediately fixed and the experience made better. Everyone my wife and I spoke with was kind, generous, and helpful. Will absolutely be coming again.

We stayed here because we were intrigued about the history of the house . We also thought having an upscale restaurant on the property was great as we didn’t have to look for a place to eat. The breakfast was one of the best that we have had at a bed and breakfast hotel . Excellent food and venue!! The gardens are very nice too!

We recently stayed at Puddicombe House and overall had a pleasant experience. The property has a lot of charm, with beautiful historic architecture and a peaceful atmosphere that makes it a nice place to relax. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and did their best to ensure our stay was enjoyable.
The room was clean and comfortable, although there were a few areas that could benefit from some updates and maintenance. If you're expecting a modern luxury hotel, keep in mind that this is a historic inn with a unique character, which is part of its appeal.
The restaurant offered good food and the presentation was excellent. Service was attentive, though during busy periods there can be a bit of a wait, so it's worth allowing extra time if you have plans afterward.
Overall, I'd recommend Puddicombe House to travellers looking for a relaxing weekend getaway, a romantic escape, or a chance to enjoy a historic property. Go with the expectation of a charming country inn rather than a five-star resort, and you'll likely appreciate what it has to offer.

This location is beautiful. The check in system is not great and there is no one on staff after 9pm or before 8am. So we just left in the morning without checking out. It’s all a bit different from what we are used to. But the staff are friendly and polite. The food in the restaurant is excellent and delivered quickly. The rooms are very pretty and comfortable. We had no issues with parking . Breakfast can be included if you wish. There is no breakfast menus and no buffet. The volume of food for breakfast is small even for a light eater and only comes in three options.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. However, the Inn is definitely more focused on events and the restaurant as its main businesses; as a result, parking can be challenging on weekends (when a wedding is hosted) and evenings. Its location, close to Stratford and in a cute town with walkable shops and parks, is its best feature. The spa was also a lovely experience.
The stay was already quite expensive, and we were surprised to receive an additional $150 charge at the end of the visit "for having booked with Expedia." We were also unimpressed with the breakfast -- we suggest going to a local bakery instead.

Really nice place to go, but a few things that should be noted. Parking can get a little tricky at this place especially if there's an event going on. We had to park across the street which wasn't bad. This is a bed and breakfast place, and apparently not all rooms get breakfast for free. Ours was one of those that didn't get it for free. I asked what it cost, $25 a piece and only three options to pick from. A bed and breakfast place should include breakfast. The evening dining was good, and the food was excellent.
