Easy checkin, clean rooms, comfortable beds. We had an excellent stay.

Room was clean, updated and well maintained. The front door glass was broken, that is my only reason for four stars. I would stay here again.

I checked in late that night, location’s a little hard to find maybe due to the weather and darkness. The room in general was just alright, tiny, the bed wasn’t comfy, there’s a little backyard that actually connected to the next door neighbor that I didn’t aware of but it was safe. Can’t say it’s dirty or messy but can’t say it’s clean and tidy either. Guess I would prefer hotel instead next time.

I couldn’t check into the Spot, but after 4pm I didn’t get the details so I called the contact number. They said housekeeping was behind so they offered an upgrade at a nearby hotel. It was nice and had a view of a harbour. BUT the next morning I’m woken to the sound of the door being unlocked. THERE WAS NO KNOCK! No one saying “it’s housekeeping”. It was a quiet rattle of keys turning the lock. Im surprised it even woke me. I jumped out of bed, yelled that the room was occupied as the door was opening. I got to the door before they could see me and forced it shut against their weight. I yell at them to go away. As a woman traveling alone this is the worst nightmare and something that happens all too often. The door didn’t have a bolt and chain lock to prevent someone outside from unlocking it again. A man said he’s housekeeping, I tell him to wait until I check out. It honestly felt like he still wanted to come in and clean. It was so bizarre. I settled down and went to the office to tell them what happened. She was apologetic, said he is new and went to the wrong room, but honestly it felt like she didn’t get how traumatic having someone pushing your door open can be. She said I could check out late, so I went back to bed. Less than 2hr later there’s a knock at the door. They said ‘housekeeping’ as they unlocked. I said occupied and didn’t hear him go away. So I went out to face him, he showed me his paperwork, which had my room # on it, but didn’t specify the hotel.

Excellent losgings and great service don't have much more to say

Did not like the idea of no staff on duty and key pads for everything

They were exceptionally vlean and the staff can be forgiving if you are not out immediately but they still will encourage and have you leave if you stay to long great customer service

Great little place to stay in Nanaimo and very reasonable priced.

clean room, clean bathroom. very nice shower. close to restaurants. check in was very simple and easy.

Thw rooms were clean and perfectly prepared even before my established check in time. They were even willing to give me some extra time before checking out

As expected

Clean room -decent for solo traveller or a couple. Need some comfy chair for the work table. Room smelled a little so hope airing it out would be nice. Small chip in the washroom sink but not too crazy. For the price it's not too bad.

Room and shower were newly renovated and spotless. Pleasantly surprised and would stay again.

The room was excellent for the price and is conveniently located close to the BC Ferry and Hullo Ferry Terminals. No staff are on hand so it’s operated like most Airbnb’s with self check in using codes which are sent to you in advance after you check in online. Nice for the price!

The room was in good condition and appeared to be clean. I did find a hair ball on the extra blanket. There was a very strong scent in the room which lead me to believe it was covering up something. The rooms and door needs sound proofing as the TV from other units and the road noise was significant. I really appreciated the kitchenette and supplies provided within. Having a dish cloth and tea towel would have been helpful but I managed with a hand towel. I also appreciated having Netflix set up for viewing.

The manager answered the phone at 1:00 in the morning to help me with the door code so that I could get access to my room. The room was very clean and comfortable. Highly recommended!

Suite was generally OK - location is not ideal; lots of traffic noise. The bed was not the most comfortable. But it was clean and the remote check-in was fine.

It was such a cute place to stay. The codes for the locks were confusing at first, but nonetheless, it was a great stay.
