The location and overall complex are unique. The room was clean and well maintained. We weren’t too impressed with the dining (I ordered grilled salmon and it was anything but grilled). Breakfast was better. Overall it was a good experience and we will go there again.

Great place very nice

I have mixed feelings about this resort. It is a very unique place, full of unique things such as a steam powered traction engine and old model A style car etc. There's a ghost town, lake activities, ping-pong, billiards etc. As the pictures show, the building itself is very unique. It was very close to the busy Canadian Transcontinental highway, however, we couldn't hear traffic from our room. The beds are old spring mattresses and the pillows were not very comfortable. I think the staff are trying hard to maintain the place but it feels a bit old and worn. The dining room was short staff, although they struggled hard to complete all the orders. The food was 3/10. We both ordered cider which the ingredients showed water, vodka and flavorings. Not good. This would be a great place for a family with younger kids. There's plenty for them to do, and they don't care about beds or worn furniture. I'm retired and traveling with my wife, the walls and floors are thin and we could hear the kids through the walls and running/shouting in the corridors until well after our bed time. One final point, there's no wifi in the rooms, and we didn't know there's NO AIR CONDITIONING until we got an email from the hotel a few days before we were due to stay.

The view. Had my morning coffee on the balcony which looked out towards the lake, gardens and mountains. Room was clean and comfortable but would have been nice to have a microwave especially to heat up food for kids. Lots to do. The Grandsons were busy the whole day@!

Like many others, we have driven past this hotel many times before finally making it our destination. It was so worth it! The staff were all so wonderful, the property is well kept, there is so much to do, and our daughter had a blast. My husband left his wedding ring in the room and the staff found it, phoned us, and arranged to have it mailed back to us. Thank you so, so much to them for the lovely stay and for saving the day!

This is an amazing scenic location. We love the ghost town, the pool and lake views from every room. It is older but that is part of the charm. It is a quirky nostalgic spot. 10 years now and counting, we love our annual getaway.

There is no better property for a hotel, the lake, the views and the area are stunning!! The hotel and the rooms themselves are seriously outdated and are badly in need of a refresh. It’s too bad because it gives of jeckle and Hyde vibes as the property/lake is a 10 out of 10, but once inside the hotel it leaves a lot to be desired. Worth staying at once but not a place we would stay very often.

No wifi, no air conditioning, no microwave in rooms…swimming pools were dirty with no access of shower..overrated and overpriced

This was a stop off on a long road trip and wound up being one of my favourite places I stayed on the trip. I'd definitely go back for a couple of nights, it's nice and close to Revelstoke while having what feels like its own private lake. All the rooms have balconies and a view, so it was a great place to just relax. I really loved the indoor gardens too, as well as the outdoor ones. Only downside was lack of wifi in the rooms as I was travelling solo with no data so I was relying on wifi to keep in touch with family and making onward plans. But this was OK as it worked fine in the public areas. Thanks for a great stay!

A nice spot for an overnight stay but the rooms are getting a bit "tired" looking and the grounds need some maintenance. Lots of amenities for a family to do.

Depends what you are looking for. The property itself is in a beautiful location. If you are looking for peace and quiet and want to get away from everything than this is your place. The rest of the hotel feels like it never left the 1990's. There is no in-room wifi. There is a tv, but it is hooked up to an antenna that connects to maybe 10 or so very fuzzy standard definition stations. There is no microwave in the room, and no free breakfast. No USB outlets in the room. The beds were comfortable and the water pressure was excellent. The property is attached to a ghost town attraction and train ride. Some of the exhibits are fascinating and others look like someone's yard sale. It is a historic place and it appears that the owners are doing what they can with limited capitalization.

The property promises a lot but does not deliver on any of the amenities.

Room was clean, quiet and comfortable

Our new go-to place whenever we're near Revelstoke! The property is absolutely beautiful and so unique. Both the hotel and our room were spotless, and every staff member we interacted with was friendly, welcoming, and incredibly helpful. The restaurant was delicious and reasonably priced, and there was so much to do, from exploring the beautiful grounds to visiting the ghost town. We only booked one night and immediately wished we had stayed longer! A special shoutout to Rusty, the resident cat, who was a huge hit with our toddlers and definitely one of the highlights of our stay. We can't wait to come back!

Great place to stay with the family on a road trip. Property is cool with lots to explore and do.

The room had a nice view of the lake. Without AC (which I knew), the room was really hot to sleep in and the portable fan was useless. Restaurant meals are okay but service is crazy slow. I would not stay there again.
