Firstly fault as I didn’t realize what I had booked. It’s just a house that whom ever owns rents out the room. It is no where near anything, a residential neighborhood, so to get something to eat is a drive. Plus it just felt weird, the whole experience. Would I do it again - NO

The house was in a pleasant neighborhood and the room was clean, the bed comfortable but being older people who need to get up in the night and insuite bathroom would have been preferable. Overall we enjoyed our stay and the kitchen amenities. However when we arrived we still didn't have a door code or know which room was ours because hotels.com does not forward messages in a timely fashion. It would be better to contact the B&B directly. It was complicated because we had no cell service all day.

The room was clean and bed comfortable. Bathroom was clean. Lots of supplies in the kitchen. Very quiet.

I found the owner nice to text will very prompt replies. The quiet hours were from 11pm to 8 am traveller's are usually up and out before 8 am and sleeping before 11pm so an adjustment there may be something to look at. I chose the Grizzly Room and it was pretty good. The bed was amazing!! No counter around the bathroom sink was a bother but there was a shelf above the toilet. The on-suite 1/2 bath was very handy. The sink wasn’t clean, the wall had soap splatter, and the soap dish wasn’t clean. I said things were noisy, but that had more to do with the other guests than the place itself. At 11 pm they decided to bath their kids and blow dry their hair. My room was at the end of the hall, the children rolled dice down it and bounce them off the walls. With an on site host I am sure this would not have happened. Over all. The home was comfortable easy to access with loads of parking. I would consider staying there again.

We stayed in The Bear room with a very comfortable king size bed. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances, utensils, etc. Couch in living area also quite comfortable. The only thing I missed was some cushioned patio seating to enjoy the outside.

House was easy to find and parking was more than available. Got in and found the room without issue. The room with a bathroom is very misleading. It is only a half bath and not described as such anywhere in the listing that I saw. The shower down the hall was still dirty from the night before. Hair stuck in the drain strainer and 6 used soap bars in the tub. The towel in the room was clean but had a huge hole in it and there was a wet washcloth on the floor in the bedroom. For $145USD I was expecting a little more attention to detail from the cleaning team and a personal shower.

Bed was comfortable. Only real complaint was no sound proofing in bedrooms - use earplugs when sleeping. Nice neighborhood for walking about.

Considering the price tag for this rental, I would have expected the place to be a little cleaner. The amenities worked well and the people I was staying with were very nice. The room was clean as well. The common areas like dryer and washer were in great need of attention. Seemed like there was too much traffic through the home without adequate staff to clean.

Josh was great at communicating the address, the house code and the way to got to the bedroom in the home, as well as other details regarding parking and house rules. We arrived about 10:30 and got into the house easily, but were greeted with the smell of marijuana. We went directly to our bedroom and shut the door. The smell wasn't bad in the bedroom. I guess I didn't read well enough, as I was thinking that the bear bedroom had a shower/bath, but it was just a toilet and sink. The showers were shared with all the guests. The house was a quiet place to stay.

It was a residential house with your own room, shared kitchen and bathroom, and street parking. Entry was keyless, using a code texted to you, and the bedroom was small but cosy. I did notice the bathroom sink/shower drained slowly, but that was a minor concern. However I was disappointed that when I returned that night, I could smell pot as I entered. So some tenants were ignoring the no smoking inside rule, or left the back door open when they smoked on the deck. Fortunately it wasn't detectable in my room, so just a little annoying.

Home like experience with well stocked kitchen and living room. Residential area within walking distance of downtown. Would be happy to stay here again

It’s confusing reading the reviews because it seems this listing is for two different properties. We were in house in a residential neighborhood. We reserved a room with a private bathroom. It wasn’t a bathroom, it was a half bath with no shower or bathtub. Maybe there was confusion between American English and Canadian English? I was expecting to be able to bathe. As two single women, we didn’t feel comfortable showering in the shared bathroom when the other guests were men we didn’t know. The house was clean, had enough blankets, and the communication with the owner was quick.

I doubt that I would have rented if i knew that it was a boarding house with 5 guests.

This property was fine but not what I expected because it is not a B&B, it’s a hostel. It has small rooms and shared bathrooms (as advertised) although the bear room did have its own personal bathroom which I appreciated. The common areas were not super clean but not super dirty either. I like places to be super clean so this was not up to par for me personally. The neighborhood seemed very safe and was easy to get to.

Made this booking by mistake—and couldn’t be happier. Gracious host, nice home, room to spread out trip planning materials and very comfortable. Delighted with our stay! Bob W
