The owners and staff are amazing and ready to help whenever it is necessary. Highly recommend.

Nice historical building... Restaurant pricey compared with other local establishments. The room I booked on Expedia was already given away when I arrived. Had to split into two rooms which was ideal with kids but worked out. Pool area was nice and very clean. Kids enjoyed.

That resort facility is the crown jewel of Fogo’s tourism. Their breakfast is exceptional and their staff are always ready and very professional. I’m looking forward to stay there again soon. It’s a highly recommended Hotel for people visiting the island. Thanks for the great service provided to me.

The hotel is old colonial style and lovely. Bathroom is separated from the room. Patio and garden is nice and charming. The only issue here is wifi does not work in the room only outside. The other problem is hotel advertise half board room price but when you check in they inform you that your maximum spend limit escudo 1,200 up to 1,500 which equals to roughly EUR12-15. If you go over the limit you have to pay. That does not make half board. Half board is when lunch or dinner is included without limit. The hotel has to fix this issue as it is misleading and false advertising. Other than that it was nice staying here

Ambiance pleine d’histoire Prestations coloniales mais très sympathique accueil attentionné et répondant aux demandes (garde des bagages, Check out spécial) jolie expérience bien plus mémorable qu’hôtels modernes mais sans charme ni identité Le dîner était très satisfaisant bon service et qualité tout à fait correcte Un hôtel recommandé et que nous visiterons à nouveau si nous revenons à Fogo. Très bel endroit Accueil égal zéro, on ne peut pas obtenir d’informations sur la ville et toute autre information touristique, pas de plan de la ville Zéro sourire à notre arrivée, On a même essayé de nous mettre dans l’annexe sans nous demander notre avis Le mode de management se lit sur la tristesse général qui se dégage du personnel Plusieurs chambres ont une salle de bain tout à fait à part de la chambre et s inondé facilement

Rapport qualité/prix excellent. Cette hôtel n’est pas en bord de mer mais quand même à environ cinq minutes de marche. Nous sommes environ 12 minutes de marche de centre-ville Santa Maria. Très bien pour Deux ou trois jours

Wir haben uns in diesem kleinen Hotel sehr wohl gefühlt. Das alte Kolonialhaus hat einfach Charme, ist sehr sauber, gemütlich mit schönen kleinen Pool mit Liegen und tollen Sitzmöglichkeiten. Das Frühstück war perfekt mit warmen frisch gebackenen Brötchen, verschiedenen Eierspeisen, Käse, Wurst, Obstsalat, Kuchen, Saft, Marmeladen usw. Alles sehr lecker und reichlich. Das Abendbrot hat uns auch immer sehr gut geschmeckt. Man konnte im Rahmen der Halbpension aus der Karte wählen. Das Personal sehr kompetent und freundlich. Die Zimmer waren sehr schön eingerichtet, gemütlich mit alten Möbeln und sehr sauber. Das eigene Badezimmer war zwar über dem Gang, aber das hat nicht gestört. Es gab ja auch Bademäntel. Besonders gefallen haben uns die vielen verschiedenen gemütlichen modernen Sitzmöglichkeiten im Innenhof und am Pool, so daß man sich immer irgendwo draußen aufhalten konnte. Die Besitzer tun alles, damit sich die Gäste wohl fühlen. Auch organisieren Sie Ausflüge und Transfers.

Hôtel et restaurant au top dans une superbe ancienne maison coloniale. Très bon pied à terre sur cette île avant ou après la dure montée du pico de fogo. Petit plus: piscine et terrasse très agréables!

We really had a nice stay. The hotel has charm and ver friendly staff. Only thing to complain about were the mattresses. Other than that we were perfectly happy.

Der Check-in ist am selben Desk wie das Reisebüro. Man hat uns erstmal nicht beachtet. Nach längerem Warten auf unser gebuchtes Zimmer, hat man uns dann ein anderes nicht gleichwertiges Zimmer gegeben. Insgesamt war wenig Interesse an Gästen vorhanden. Schade, denn es ist ein tolles Haus im Kolonialstil mit Flair, Gastfreundlichkeit hat aber keine hohe Priorität

The hotel is very well located, in the heart of the city, not too far from the beach. Wonderful island where we can walk to the volcano. People at the restaurant are vey nice and helpful. High quality.

Casa Colonial was just beautiful, we enjoyed our stay a lot. The place is very nicely decorated, the staff was nice, breakfast was good and the location was also good in the center of Sao Filipe.

The owner was fantastic - very hands on to ensure everything was satisfactory. When my taxi did not arrive, he even gave me a ride to the airport to ensure I caught my flight.

Although the atmosphere of the guesthouse and additional service (bar, travel agency) appears quite charming at the first glance, there is problem with the rooms: getting one of the rooms w/ air condition, the air con was very loud and we were overtaken by cockroaches in our room as well as the bathroom (the bathroom was not attached to the bedroom so we had to cross the floor open to every guest). During the day we did not spot the cockroaches, but during the nght there were several. The accomodation is defenitely not worth the price. We found a different hotel w/ air con, clean and without any bugs, the size of the room was much larger and we paid less.
