This Holiday Inn actually adjoins the Hualuxe Hotel (both properties are owned by the IHG group). When you arrive, you check in at the Hualuxe reception area. A buffet breakfast is served on Level 1 of the Hualuxe property; guests also have access to the swimming pool on Level 3 of the Hualuxe Hotel. The properties are located in a fairly quiet, leafy area, and it's only a 12-minute walk to the Guangming Road metro station, from where you can get to the centre of Shanghai in just over an hour. You can also catch the train to Suzhou at the Huaqiao metro station, which is the next station from Guangming Road. Anyway, our room at the Holiday Inn was clean and comfortable and we really enjoyed our two-night stay. The breakfasts were good and we had a couple of reasonably priced dinners at the cafe on Level 1 of the Hualexe Hotel, which specialises in Suzhou-style noodles. The staff were friendly and accomodating.

Best hotel I have stayed at for many years. Our room was Suite 1 Bedroom on corner with excellent views in different directions. Very modern hotel and our room felt new. Large nice very comfortable bed. Good selection of power points, most accept multi type of plugs. TV easy to operate Breakfast included in our booking. Excellent with good selection of Western food. Excellent staff very friendly and helpful. I could not find any mention of fridge on booking information. Fortunately our room had Mini fridge that was adequate. There is a hanging light near a table. It was hanging at chin height and it is easy to bump your head on it Excellent room lighting. It has been a wonderful experience staying here and hope to stay again.
