Amazing staff, Moi, Maybeline and Feraz were all outstanding and super firendly. Massive bed and nice and private. 20 metre walk to the beach with cocktails in hand, what else could you ask for?

Everything just suited our holiday, staff were happy n friendly and the bungalow just fitted in with the Rarotongan life. Perfect for a relaxed break.

The room itself was nice with charm, the bed could’ve been better. Friendly staff and in general a safe good space to have a holiday.

We had a new room no:8 Very Clean room, comfy bed. Ammenities, well equiped. Pool area & opposite rooms very very tired. Actual pool was clean but everything else need pulling apart & totally re constructing. One umbrella on property at one seat by pool. None by beach restaurant loungers . Only two of them, wooden with no cushions. Beach bar is a hitch pitch of timber, plastic, brick on roof & wiring. Looks shabby & not safe. Needs a complete refurbishment & it would be great.

A Special Stay for a Special Day We had an amazing experience at The Castaway Resort, especially during our intimate wedding. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel special—truly going the extra mile, even stepping in to be our witnesses. Their kindness and attention made our day unforgettable. The location is excellent—peaceful, adults-only, and perfect for a relaxing getaway. The resort may feel a little dated compared to the photos, but honestly, it had everything we needed. It was spotlessly clean, the bed was super comfortable, and overall, it felt very welcoming and well-kept. The food was absolutely delicious, with great options throughout our stay. The only minor downside was the breakfast—it wasn’t quite what we expected and could use a little improvement. That said, we loved our time here and would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, friendly, and relaxing place to stay. Thank you to the team at Castaway for making our wedding and stay so memorable!

We enjoyed our time at castaways. Fan and aircon worked well, the bed was comfortable, could do with updating the pillows as they have become a bit hard. Bathroom was spacious and clean as was the room. Quirky things like the front door screen would stick at the top and a couple of the little day to day repairs could be finished of better with a bit of paint etc. Add a note to housekeeping to check fridge temp dial when flipping the room as the freezer compartment in ours had frozen over because the last people had obviously played with it and when we added food to the fridge it couldn't keep it frozen so we woke to a huge puddle on the floor from it defrosting, Easy fix for us but easy to prevent too. The Staff are absolutely amazing and so lovely. Ate often at the bar/restaurant and it was brilliant. I would stay again just expect the odd quirk. :)

Plus's - Bar on the beach try the mega alcoholic chocolate delight friendly staff comfortable bed..The island dance show and great live music on Sunday..a pool Negatives- small we called our verandah a cupboard..shower leaked onto floor, back door stuck, very limited kitchen. The whole property is tired..not good enough for the price. We are now staying elsewhere on the island that is luxury compared to the castaway and cheaper!

The beds were firm and super comfy for my husband and me. There is even a bookshelf in the reception, which was perfect for a 'swap a book'. Would stay again. I found it was not overcrowded. The continental breakfast was perfect for the warmer weather. :) thanks for our amazing stay!!

Lovely place with super-friendly staff. Comfy room with mini kitchen and self-catered breakfast provided. Are at restuarant most nights. Great snorkelling at high tide/rock pooling at low. Fab sunsets. Very quiet but we loved that.

A lovely recently updated beachfront stay the staff were wonderful

Loved the beach house. Huge house with everything you could want and directly on the beach. Only down fall was shower was cold for most of the days.
