My husband and I could not fault The Islander. From the moment we checked in we felt like part of a large family. From the friendly smile and impeccable service from Serena at reception, to the amazing party vibe from Memory in the Hula Bar. To our wonderful friendly wait staff, bar staff, room turn over ladies. WOW JUST WOW. Meals ( breakfast, lunch and dinner were so tasty, fresh and very generous portions. Thanx chefs.
Beds super comfy, shower was exceptional pressure. Meitaki Ma'ata Team.

식당이 큰데 관광객 뿐안아니라 현지분들도 가족단위로 이용을 많이 하시는 것 같습니다.
직원분들이 매우 친절하세요.
방도 청결하게 관리해주십니다.
Bar가 있는데 밤늦게 까지 신나는 분위기를 만들어줍니다.
성향에 따라 의견이 다를 수 있겠지만, 저는 그런 Bar가 있어서 타지에 와서 적막하지 않고 좋았어요.
호텔 바로 옆에 Beach가 없어서 그건 좀 아쉬워요.
바다에 들어가려면 이동을 해야합니다.
다음에 쿡아일랜드에 오면 이 호텔을 또 이용할 생각은 있습니다.
특히 마지막날은 꼭 이곳에 있고 싶네요.
그 날에 행사가 있으면 더욱 좋겠네요.

Just terrible staff, lack of communications, from top to bottom. Breakfast packs for early flight wasn’t arrange, another group looking for it in the morning no where to be found. Don’t get caught up with the pictures ads, very noisy music up til 9-10pm, couldn’t shut windows properly as its broken, cockroach and stain on towels. You paid premium prices for stay. Same goes with restaurants, meals waits anre insane especially dessert never turn up, followed up twice after 1 hour of wait, gave up and asked for little discount but boss refused even though we didn’t get it, she eventually made her staff to make it but we are ready for bed. Same goes with other group next to our table their kids just ended up going to the room. It’s a big let down, also had a 2 years with me traveling.

Positives and negatives:
+ Rooms actually are nicer than they look in the pictures. We were pleasantly surprised
+ Restaurant is really good quality, both staff and food were great
+ Aircon worked very well and room didn't seem to humid
+ Love these guys because they are kind to animals.
- No late checkout. It's advertised at a $50 cost, but when we told "Donni" that we wanted to check out at 1pm she said that we had to leave at 10am because someone else was going to stay in the room. The place was not fully booked, and so if check in is at 3pm is 2 hours not enough to clear a room?
- Tuesdays is Renovation day. If you are staying on a Tuesday, bring your earplugs. They were working on the rooms or the roof and it was all day with power tools. We knew about the partying until 10 and 11pm, but we were not counting on losing the nap.

Thanks to great communications with the hotel’s staff, our check in was very easy, and our room was very nice and loaded with the needed amenities. We had an excellent breakfast in the morning with a wonderful view of the ocean. Would definitely stay at the Islander Hotel again.

Music booms all day (11am - 11pm) from the Hula Bar
No place to relax, no sun loungers, pool is small & really only suitable for children.
Food was awful - except for the tuna sashimi
Only good thing was reasonably priced drinks

Needed a place to stay for a night following a late arrival. Perfect location and short walk from RAR. Room was very clean and cold AC. Just what we needed. Staff were very nice and helpful. Will defintely stay here again.

The stay at the Islander was amazing from the moment I checked in right until I collected my bags for departure.
The staff were real lovely, they became like family. The room was spacious, cosy and super comfy bed. The food was just delicious every single meal. Coffees and cocktails were superb. I would definitely stay there again

We stayed at the Islander Hotel for our last night in Rarotonga before heading back to Australia the following morning on an early flight. Staff were lovely. The room was ok but a few stains on the bed head put me off! Bed was comfortable. There was a t.v in the room but no remote and didn't seem to be working at all. Went across to the restaurant for meals. Good views, food well priced, good entertainment on. The beach bar does play music til around 10.30-11pm so no chance of an early night, although appreciated that they do turn it off at a reasonable time. This hotel is basically across the road for the airport so very convenient for an overnight stay.
