everything at Las Hortensia's was amazing. it's close to the airport, and the grounds are very clean and beautiful. the host is amazing. she scheduled a airport pickup for us, and arranged a taxi for the next day. my daughters loved the dogs on the property, and so did I and my wife. I highly recommend staying here, it exceeded my expectations.

The public areas were comfortable and very clean, the room was very nice, and the staff was very welcoming.

Friendly, good breakfast, comfortable bed. But i wouldn’t call it a restaurant- microwaved dinner? I understood that a credit card would be accepted but she said she had to have cash.

This was an amazing stay, especially for my early morning flight. The hosts were respectful, informative me, and they made the place feel like home. They have a beautiful dining/common area. It's the perfect place to stay if your catching an early flight or coming in late afternoon or evening. Will book again, muchas gracias!

Great Service. People was nice. Thank you. But the bathroom was smelly and the whole room was with this bathroom smell. The sliding shower door came out as soon as I started moving it to close it once I get in the bathroom. Other than that was a nice place.

Absolutely wonderful property! I can’t imagine staying anywhere else. I booked very last minute and late at night and the owner had arranged for a taxi to pick me up from airport after midnight. I was the only one staying there which is a shame since this place is such a deal. Lovely 6 bedroom home, comfortable beds, brand new bathroom. Nice common area. Breakfast was simple but delicious. Water coffee and tea available. Loved the dogs and cats on the property and it was gated and secured. I wish I hadn’t booked at the Hilton already because I don’t understand how that place is charging $188 when this place was $50. I would stay here again and again. Plus I love supporting women businesses and locals.

Arriving at this peaceful place after a long flight and talking to Nicole, was a magical experience.

Elizabeth the manager is wonderful. Very well maintained property. Neighborhood part of rolling blackout 6 to 9pm every other week.

The owner met us at the gate and was so hospitable. We were running late and hadn't eaten dinner, so within 15- minutes the owner ordered a great dinner for us. The place was very pretty, and the beds were comfortable. We were just there for the night because we were catching an early flight to the Galapagos. I would gladly stay there again!!

I arrived at check-in time on a Sunday. I wanted lunch (almuerzo) at a nearby cafe. Unfortunately, there were none open. Settled for a bag of chips at a nearby tienda. I wanted dinner (Cena) and the hotel provided a home cooked traditional meal for a price. So only one choice. The hotel is clean, bed was comfortable and the staff aims to please. I will stay there again but a little more prepared in the future.

I like everything from the pick up at the aiport to the welcoming and dinner. Great bed very clean good breakfast nice place to unwind. I felt like i was home with a beautiful dog.

This is a very reasonable place to stay between flights from Quito to Cuenca.

It is in a typical small Ecuadorian area. Might be a bit disconcerting if you are not used to Ecuador. It will be my go to place in the future and I recommend it. It has a security gate.

Las Hortencias was welcoming and comfortable. It was our first time in Ecuador knowing little spanish. Elizabeth and her family's generosity and kindness made our visit a positive one. After waiting for two hours to get through migrations at the airport and with no way of notifiying Elizabeth, the shuttle transportation was still waiting for us and welcoming. The place is clean and comfortable with a beautiful sunroom to eat breakfast in. They also have a friendly and happy dog!
