Lovely place for a stay over, food is excellent and reasonably priced, breakfasts are lovely and a great location for hikers.

A wonderful pub. Great operators. Character building. Great to hear that it is owned the Duchy of Lancaster aka The King

Lovely cosy and traditional pub / B&B. Staff are really friendly, food (dinner and breakfast) were great. Set in a quaint village and just a 20 min walk to the cliffs and an idyllic spot.

Rooms were clean and comfortable but super hot, even with fully opened windows. There’s a radiator in the wardrobe but no fans. The heat was the same throughout the building, noted by other guests in the breakfast room. There’s a sign in the bathroom re. lack of water pressure due to “age & layout” of the property. There must be something that could be done to improve that. After a very warm night’s sleep a trickle of water in the shower was not what was needed. Breakfast was average with brusque service. Bacon burnt and tomato ketchup that I have tasted nothing like before (and mot in a good way)

Extremely welcoming and friendly owners and staff. Great parking. Lovely rooms, clean, very comfy bed with good bedding and pillows. Great breakfast and food in the evening was excellent. Good choice of beers and wine. Not often I say this, but we couldn't fault anything!

Enjoyed our stay. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Evening meal and breakfast were really good. Location great for catching bus to Scarborough. On site car parking.

Very nice room. Comfy bed. TV reception not great but weather was poor so could be the reason. Room was cold but on searching found a heater in the wardrobe. Lovely staff and great food in the evening. Good breakfast and they accommodated us for an early breakfast as we had a 6 hour drive home and wanted to leave early.

Friendly, comfortable, and great food

Really nice place to stay. Comfortable bed and nice and clean. Some aspects of the decor were a little dated but it didn't affect anything. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. The food was good but a little more variety of choice both in the breakfast and evening menu's would have been nice. Overall though, no complaints.

Could not complain at all. Great place to visit Bempton cliffs, Scarborough, Filey and Flamborough. Staff very friendly. Will definitely come back

Hosts could not have been any more friendly and helpful. Room & towels etc were clean. Dinner and breakfast was good and fairly priced. Parts of the room are starting to show their age but Notting that put me off. I would definitely use again. Thanks for a comfortable and convenient stay.

Good atmosphere all very chatty bus stops outside

Stayed in a ‘cottage’ by the car park which was very good. Parking spaces were plenty and afforded easy access to the room. Comfortable bar/lounge and restaurant area that served an excellent breakfast.

Great check in, parking great, staff very accommodating, evening meal very pleasant eaten in restaurant part of pub. Room very comfy, breakfast was really good quality with nice coffee. Would recommend and stay again.

No problem with location, facilities, dining or staff. 10/10
