Decent on paper, disappointing in reality. The room looked fine in the photos but fell short in person. We were on the ground floor and arrived to a strong smell of cigarettes - the throw blanket had a burn hole in it, suggesting a previous guest had smoked despite the advertised £100 fine. There was pink staining on the shower floor and the only chair had a broken spindle on the back - when I went to move it, the top rail separated entirely from the remaining spindles and I had to pop it back into place myself. The Wi-Fi was very unreliable, especially at night. A fan was provided but too small and underpowered to be effective from the desk socket where it was plugged in - even at full cable stretch, my wife couldn't feel it from the bed. We moved it to the bedside socket, which helped, but worth knowing if you're a warm sleeper. The bed was comfortable enough, but pillows were thin and there was only one each. When we asked upon check-in if we could order takeaways, staff said yes - but advised us to make sure we locked the front door carefully afterwards because of 'local druggies' that try to get in. Sure enough, throughout the night we could hear groups outside our window, which we'd had to keep open due to the cigarette smell on arrival. It made for an unsettled night. The guest house is clearly trying - the information sheet was thorough and staff were friendly - but the room condition and security concerns made this a less than comfortable stay.

Please put tissue box in Room. And also Handwash in Washroom. Rest All was great and Awesome. Parking is free after 6pm infront of It till 7:30am.

Despite a request for a disability friendly room we found ourselves at the very top of the guest house and having to carry heavy luggage with a disability was totally unacceptable. In addition to this we were met with a pungent smell of cigarettes and cannabis and the smell unfortunately was rife in our room and we were unable to remove the smell despite having windows open all night and using our cleaning products as air freshners . The bathroom was in a despicable state very very dirty toilet and bathroom floor, so much so my partner had to use the additional towel as an impromptu bathmat. The curtains were stained and cobwebs were visable around the room. In fairness the bed was comfortable enough, tv worked and it had the tea/coffee/kettle as you would expect. I know I wasn't staying at the ritz but you still expect a certain level of cleanliness and hygiene wherever you stay and unfortunately this was one of the worst establishments i have ever stayed in. sesdespithavwindunable

Had to run around three streets for parking. No parking available at the property. Room was giving off cigarette smell. Too noisy.peop.walking by to

Definitely the rooms need a renovation the pics don't match at all ..update everything specially the sockets as almost was electrocuted.. The gentleman in charge was very nice

A quick one night stay, comfy bed, convenient shared bathroom. TV was good and WIFI excellent.

My stay was amazing the staff was very friendly and helpful always there when you need anything and always respond to you it’s a really nice place to stay for long term or short term very homely and your ways made welcome couldn’t say anything bad about it would recommend to anyone if they want a cheap and exelant survis

Rooms were nice and had recently been redecorated. The shower/toilet was very outdated and very awkward to manouvre as it was very small. The shower head was gushing water from everywhere.

Do not book this property. Building is run down. Rooms are very dirty and not clean. Bathroom is dirty, carpets not hoovered and dirty. Room very dusty. Switches in room dirty and grime. Not hygienic. Property should not be on Expedia.

Friendly owners, cheap and basic. Had made the effort to make it clean and neat but was still a bit dated and basic. I would stay again if I was looking for a budget stay in Leicester.

Mandeep was a very good host phoned me on the day and asked what time I was to arrived I arrived early no extra charge for early check in. He also give me a parking permit so I did not had to pay for the parking was free. The room was average for me other than that everything was fine.

Me and my son stayed here for the night after seeing our beloved Saints lose pathetically 0-2 to Leicester City but tbh it wasn't the worst display of the of the day as Cambells guest house had much much lower levels of quality. Omg what a disappointment. I've never stayed in a place like this before and never again. I didn't see this coming after seeing the photo's online. Book at this place at your mercy..... almost forgot about the pretty much concrete bed, i was half expecting the house owner to give me a business card for his uncle chiropractor on the way out Unbelievable

It was good and comfortable and it is located at a convenient location for me.

The place is not value for money,the corridors smell awful and the standard is not good enough

It was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The carpets in the room were full of disgusting stains. The toilet and shower were shared. The inside of the toilet was very dirty. There were traces of unwanted dirt on the walls. There were yellowish leaks behind the white door. The shower was filthy all around.

This property hygiene is awful.
