What a find! A quaint old building oozing character with everything you need for a peaceful, relaxing break. We wanted for nothing and the hosts couldn’t do enough to ensure our stay was nothing short of perfect. Breakfast was top notch. Overall excellent value for money. Will definitely stay again if we visit the area.

I can't recommend this hotel enough! Our adult family of 6 stayed here for two nights on a trip to visit Dartmoor from the US. Jakes and Jane were so hospitable and kind, and the hotel is extremely comfortable. We wished we could stay longer.

The staff were extremely helpful and on hand if and when we needed them. This is an old building which has kept its character which added to the experience. The room had an en-suite and was clean and the water was nice and hot.
They don’t do evening meals but Okehampton is not far away so eating out is not a problem. Breakfast was excellent and plenary of choice.

Yet another wonderful stay at this incredible hotel. What a lovely quiet location, but such a shame it was a fleeting visit this time. As always everything was to an impeccable standard. It’s such a lovely place, a historic building surrounded by beautiful gardens. The evening I arrived I went for a hike to the nearest tor. The foot path starts right across the street and takes you up to wonderful views of the countryside in just 20 min! My room had a big bath tub and I took a long bath after the hike. Breakfast in the morning was delicious. Loved every moment of my stay.

Very warm and genuinely friendly welcome and service. Very comfortable bed and a sofa that was a dream to sit and relax on. We loved our stay and will look to stay here whenever we are in the area.
