The staff is kind, the water is clean, and convenient to use, and it is a little uncomfortable because it is far from the city

On arrival, we were made to wait quite a while as the two members of staff at reception dealt with a complaint from another guest. I couldn’t understand why one of them didn’t greet me and help me with check in. It was very poor customer service and annoying after a long journey. The room was comfy and well equipped with some lovely touches (white company products, fresh milk, cooled water) but the bathroom was really quite dirty (see photos) and run down. Breakfast the following morning was lovely and the highlight of our stay. All the staff we encountered in the morning were helpful and friendly.

My family and I had a wonderful time at the hotel. We have been there before and the most recent stay was for my wife's birthday celebration. Lovely room, excellent restaurant, fantastic spa and pool area. Welcoming and helpful staff. Keep up the good work. Tfanks for a great stay.

Amazing stay at this beautiful hotel. The spa facilities were incredible for an extra £15 pp.

The heating in our rooms didn’t work. They took ages to come and check it out by which time 2 of our kids - one who is a baby and one who was ill - had fallen asleep with jackets and towels on them to help keep warm. They didn’t make much effort to fix it beyond checking we’d turned the radiator in correctly. Instead they brought us electric heaters. Made half the room uncomfortably dry and warm while the opposite side of the room remained cold. In one room the Bathroom sink wouldn’t drain and in the other room the shower drain was extremely slow to drain. We kept turning off the water to give water time to drain/ precent it from spilling over. After reporting it someone apparently came to the room to have a look at the blocked sink but by this point we were all just using that shower in turns so they couldn’t access the bathroom- so they left and didn’t return. When complaining to the staff they were understanding and apologetic but made some strange comments like “some people just don’t turn the thermostat on” (it’s not hard to work a thermostat especially when there are clear instructions right above it). or “that’s the new wing so I doubt there’s issues with the heating there”…(new or not..I’m in it and it’s freezing). and no one actually resolved any of the anctual issues.

I had a live chat and a phone call to confirm the spa was included and we had to pay £30 on arrival. The room wasn’t 100% clean and smelt a little damp and we had no dressing gowns in the room we did advise the receptionist

An overall pleasant stay. However we were put off by 3 men who complained about our children playing in the pool ( during the only 2 hours a day that the children were allowed in there ) It then turned out that the men complaining were waiters in the hotel. Due to these unpleasant staff members we wouldn’t return.

The hotel needs updating. Some fresh paint in the corridors, replacing worn and torn lampshades plus wiping dirty tables in the bar. We weren’t told by Hotels.com when we booked that the Spa was not included in the price. Had we known we would have booked another hotel. The Spa cost us £30 to use & whilst the pool was good the communal areas needed cleaning. The young staff were too busy chatting about Christmas to notice spilt drinks on tables that needed cleaning in the Spa reception.

stayed at cottons for a wedding and it was a lovely experience. only complaint was our room service breakfast made us quite ill and was not too tasty, but other than that and no late night food options at the hotel, it was such a great time. lovely room, comfy bed, great space.

Great hotel, excellent staff and a wonderful breakfast

Nice bedroom. Bathroom refurbed, lovely shower but the towel rail didnt work and neither did the sink plug, so you couldnt fill the sink. Cleanliness would have been a 5 but for lots of beer bottles left by the water/milk station on 3rd floor when we checked in about 3.30. Breakfast was excellent, as were all the staff we met

Great location for Knutsford. Parking was a little tight but doable. Staff were very friendly and breakfast was wonderful. Enjoyed having use of the pool. Room accessibility for guests with mobility needs could be a little better. Fresh milk available as self serve on each floor for tea and coffee was a nice touch.
