Had a lovely stay at Powdermills. This is a real hidden gem - beautiful grounds, comfortable room, friendly attentive staff, lovely food etc Decor a bit dated and tired, but understand due for a refresh soon.

Very dog friendly, comfortable room, nice walks, would stay again.

Quick and friendly check in. My room was away from the main hotel in a separate building. The condition and facilities in the room were as expected. Bed was very comfortable. Food in the restaurant was good, the service from all staff I encountered was fantastic. Would definitely stay again.

a great stay. the grounds are beautiful and lovely to sit with a drink overlooking the lake. All the staff were a credit to the establishment so friendly and helpful. lovely room with a balcony. it is an old building which is part of its charm, the balcony area needed a bit of tlc, the room however was lovely and a really comfy bed. would return in a heartbeat

The facilities and staff were excellent and the setting of the hotel was very picturesque. The rooms were large and fantastically co for table.

Great surroundings, and lovely old building with lots of character. Room (basic twin) was a little tired, particularly the bathroom, but it was clean and did the job.

Wonderful grounds with footpath right into Battle village. Lovely room with balcony, although the balcony could have done with a good sweep. Considering the large size of the room the guest experience would have been much enhanced by the addition of a small fridge. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Perfect in every way!

Hotel is set in beautiful grounds, but the hotel itself needs some refurbishing. We had a standard room which was OK, but the bathroom needs an update. We expected a shower, however it had a bath with a handset, very little water pressure as not pumped & water temperature went hot & cold. Extremely difficult to use as a shower. Also cracked floor tiles. Two windows in the room, but only one opened. The other has been painted over so wouldn't open. No central light, only bedside lights so room quite dark. Breakfast was a buffet, with a cooked breakfast to order. Nothing special, but quite nice with a good selection. We didn't feel the quality of the room etc warranted the price we paid. We would not return.

Excellent venue and staff…….very nice room

Overall excellent but breakfast was disappointing,the poached eggs were very undercooked. Dinner was great.

Lovely service and food was excellent, great breakfast too, pool looked very inviting although we didn’t go in … beautiful grounds and lovely half hour walk into picturesque Battle

It was a very attractive environment. The room needed updating a little… shower was faulty, etc.

The pictures don't do the grounds justice - beautiful, flowery and lovely scenery with nice walks and things to do. Breakfast had great choice and service.
