I was pleasantly surprised how spacious the single room is. Yes the room is spotless and l slept well.

Initial first stay was horrible due to a lumpy bed second stay far more satisfactory comfy bed although a bit too soft coffee always topped up and parking ok ish

The staff were really helpful. An early check in was appreciated. I asked for a quiet room with a bath - and even though I was told the boiler was faulty & water pressure was low, I had a lovely hot bath!

Excellent location, lovely staff. Single bed was comfy and spotlessly clean room, especially for the age of the building. Love that they have local artist paintings for sale in the public areas. Highly recommend a stay here.

The room was good and clear, and the decor was stylish, but was stone cold when we arrived. We turned the heating on, and gradually the room warmed up. We also turned the heating on in the bathroom (a towel rack), which flipped the breaker, so we then found ourselves in pitch blackness. We called someone in the hotel, and 5 minutes later someone appeared to try to fix the problem. We all eventually discovered that we could either have lights OR heating in the bathroom, not both, so we were offered another room, also stone cold. This all took 45 minutes. I expected to be offered a free breakfast or a price reduction, but nothing, aside from an apology. A little strange.

Cozy room. Heat worked in room and bathroom. Nice location.

spotlessly clean and v quiet and cosy

Staff lovely and breakfast was so good. The only thing I have a negative comment on is the towels are tiny and a little bit threadbare. Overall though a lovely couple of days away. Great location - so easy to get to the town and the theatres/gallery

Great location close to promenade and theatres, spotlessly clean and a very spacious room with king-size bed. Good breakfast. We just stayed one night to attend an event and will happily return. Very good value. Be aware that the parking permit supplied by the hotel does not cover the spaces in Howard Square - there were valid spaces on the seafront a short walk away but it would have been great if the hotel had been able to supply a map of these.

Great hotel, loved the artwork in the rooms and communal spaces.

Large room but floor looked like it needed eeplacing as it was uneven and uncomfortable walking on it bare footed. One of the chairs had a bent foot. The room was clean except for a couple of small stains on the bedsheet. There were stirrers instead of teaspoons and a couple of the milks were off. The bed was very comfortable untill you ised the pillows. My husband said his extremely thin pillows were solid and ended up sleeping with a hoodie under pillow to make it comfortable. My pillows were softer but not only thin but lumpy. We both woke with headaches. The room was clean and a bery good size. My welcome and check in was almost perfect. Friendly andwelcoming plus the car permit. It says on a sign to close doors quietly but it was impossible especially the one to the room it was so stiff. Overall it was alright but the room could do with a little attention.

We liked the location as it was great for going to the beach and boardwalk. The hotel and rooms were clean. Our check was easy. Tom

Nice hotel for short stay, one of the better ones in Eastbourne. Rooms are tidy and clean, nothing is falling apart like some of the nearby hotels. Convenient parking on the sea front and fairly sized single rooms.

Cobwebs in the room but other than that it was ok.

Very small and tight room for two people, but nicely decorated. Parking was free with a permit but was tough to find a spot. Excellent location. Overall a great place to stay for a few nights.

The fact that there's no grab rails around the shower and no slip mat could be dangerous for anyone who is disabled

Nice hotel and room was a good size. Could have been cleaner. I also realised that there was no blind on the bathroom window while i was taking a shower! Had to hang a towel over the shower door so people couldn't see me. Not ideal!
