I had a very nice stay at the Wokefield. The reason for the review was the service I received in my room. Whilst I was advised on the App that room service may well be an hour, I waited closer to 2. Was disappointed with the food when it arrived as well.

We had a 2 night stay in wellington block room was ok, nice beds etc aircon was very helpful and worked great
The only thing we had a moan about was the shower drain “it smelt terrible” but apart from that it was a good stay

Room clean and well set out. The major issue was I was ground floor with patio doors opening out to parking as area for the golf club.. no air conditioning in the room ment had to TRY and sleep in a 30+ room not good.
Otherwise mostly ok
Breakfast was not worth £19.98 nice coffee tho..
Parking & staff was ok
I did expect a little more the bar was like a sports bar not my scene.

The first time we stayed the hotel was very good but this time it was completely different in the space of 2 months, our room was okay however that was the only good thing. The evening meal in the view was a disaster the chips tasted like they had been re heated and my partner went without a main meal due to the pizza dough coming out twice undercooked and raw! Barely an apology or acknowledgment from the staff. Morning breakfast was stone cold and hardly an edible fruit left. Advise anyone not to bother eating here.

No airconditioning, just a poorly condition fan that wafted hot air about so room was absolutely roasting, on arrival windows were shut and curtains drawn, on a hot week these windows should have been open so not a good nights sleep. Heavy doors that everyone banks shut late at night and early in morning. Breakfast was diabolical, we went in about 9am, no fried eggs only boiled eggs of lukewarm scrambled, tough bacon and sausages, not fresh at all , been sitting there ages, toast machine was not toasting , ended up with hot bread and if put through twice was burnt, didnt bother even going second day. hard to park, very disappointing

Check in was a shambles. The whole hotel was so busy with various conferences and weddings, we felt very low down on the priority list. There was also no way of knowing that there were three separate buildings and it turned out some rooms had air con and others (ours) had a rickety old fan. During a heatwave, this was unacceptable. The parking was so bad, we nearly had to park on the golf course! Would not recommend staying here especially during the summer months.

The breakfast was excellent, there was a little confusion with finding parking outside of Wellington Lodge, parking was limited, it was hampered my another hotel resident and thier bad parking. My room in Wellington was comfortable no problems. Staff i met were welcoming and professional.

The property was brilliant, the food was great, the amenities were good.
The room was clean, the staff were helpful, the food had great variety and was really tasty and there was enough parking.
There was no air conditioner in our room , which was strange as the weather was really hot at almost 30 degrees.
They put a fan in the room , that helped a bit but the fan was not effective because the air was stil, we felt really uncomfortable and couldn't sleep for a while.
Overall, we had a great experience and would stay here again.

Our room was clean and cool as our visit was during the heatwave. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially agreeing to transport us in the golf buggy as our room was a few minutes walk from the main reception.
Breakfast was very delicious was a fair variety of items to choose from.
Parking is fair but could become tight if there is a big event on.
The grounds are well kept and encouraging to take a wander around.
I totally enjoyed my stay, so thank you to the wonderful staff.

Room is fine and breakfast ok, but we had a bad experience. A male member of the housekeeping team let themselves into our room early in the morning, without knocking. When confronted, the guy was unable to speak English or explain why he entered without knocking. We reported it and they apologised but it shouldn’t happen. I get the impression it is chaotically managed.

We had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The room was incredibly nice—clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The location was absolutely perfect, and having hassle-free onsite parking made our trip so much smoother.
We also loved the nice pool area, and the food at the restaurant was both delicious and very well priced. Highly recommend this place,

False advertising! The majority of pictures on the Expedia site are for the Manor House, with beautiful architecture and history. The hotel is not in the manner but in a modern building next door. The hotel itself was ok, but wasn’t what we had booked or intended!

ruime kamer, goed onderhouden, koffie en thee a volonté. Het was erg heet en de voorziene ventilator voldeed niet. Wel goeie tv, strijkijzer, badkamer proper, ontbijt erg uitgebreid en lekker. Gratis parkeren op een gigantisch terrein waar je ook kan wandelen of golfen. Inrichting hedendaags en aangenaam.

There was no air conditioning, and the room was extremely hot and stuffy. A member of staff told us they would provide an additional fan, so we went to reception to ask. We were told a fan would be sent to our room, but after waiting over an hour nothing arrived. When we returned to reception, we were then told that no fans were available.
We were also not given any information about breakfast, including where it was served or the opening and closing times.
The hotel was extremely busy due to two conferences, and the communal areas had an unpleasant smell, possibly because of the heat.
We had expected to be staying in the mansion house, so this was disappointing. In addition, the carpet in our room had not been vacuumed.

I had a great stay at the hotel for a wedding. The room was huge and the beautifully designed. I really liked the various lighting and the room had lots of mirrors. Staff were great and friendly; I asked for green tea teabags and staff bought them to my room quickly.
