엘름우드 호텔

로비에서 키를 받자마자 충격받음. 캐리어를 끌어야하는데 계단임 그것도 아주 좁은 보폭의 계단. 심지어 삐걱거림ㅎ 간신히 룸에 들어가보니 왠걸? 방이 휘어있음 바닥이 기울어있단말입니다ㅡㅡ 침대로 균형을 맞추는 느낌? 이불은 낡았고 몇 일 동안 안빤게 확실합니다 빨간 이불 속에 린넨만 갈아주는 듯. 수건은 제가 쓴 거 그냥 말려서 주더군요 어캐 알았냐면 혹시나해서 물에 적시고 나왔더니 화장실에 수건 말리고 있음 실화냐? 정말 베드버그가 없는게 신기할 정도의 숙소 정말 충격적인 창문 나무가 썩어있음ㅋㅋㅋ 바닥엔 먼지굴러다님 고시원도 이정도로 비좁진 않을듯합니다 캐리어펼치는건 당연히 안됩니다 화장대위에 놓고 열었음 그리고 콘센트? 화장대 밑에 바닥즈음에 하나 있음 그게 다임 여기의 단 하나의 장점은 그저 세인트판크라스역과 가깝다는 것입니다 그것도 그 라인에 위치한ㅁ 호텔중에서는 제일 멀고요ㅋ 사실 그 라인들은 호텔이라는 이름도 아깝다 솔직히 한국 여인숙보다 못함 절대 가지마세요 비위생적임 여기갈바에 돈 더주고 쾌적한 생활하세요 진심입니다 첫 날 숙소보자마자 다른 숙소 알아봤어요 그럼에도 불구하고 걍 잔 이유는 다른 곳은 이미 예약이 차서였음 절대 가지마라.. 최악의 호텔 여기 괜찮다고 한 외국인들은 분명 머리가 어떻게 된 것임

위치는 정말 좋아요

킹스크로스역에서 가까워서 성인 여자3명 예약했습니다 사진으로 봤을때 화장실도 있고 싱글 침대도 3개가 놓여있어서 하룻밤 괜찮을것같았어요 (실제로는 싱글침대사이즈 2개가 방에 직각으로 놓여있었고 성인여자3명은 서있을수없었어요) 바로 길건너 골목안이라 이동은 용이했지만 직원들이 영어를 못하고 남자직원들 세명정도가 있는데 비아냥거리는 말투로 엄청 기분 나쁘게 하더라구요 지하방 준다길래 윗층으로 달라고 부탁하고 저녁에 돌아오니 지하방을 주었어요 아래가 보이지 않을정도의 급경사 계단에 여자어른1명이 겨우 내려갈수 있었어요 여행막바지라 캐리어도 무거웠는데 결론은 도와주지도 않았지만 도와달라하니 1개만들어주겠다하더라구요 겨우 방에 들어갔더니 넘좁아서 성인여자3명이 서 있기도 힘들었어요 드러운 침대와 드러운 화장실 그리고 반지하 창문은 너무 허술하더라구요 소름끼쳐서 호텔밖 맥도날드에 앉아있다가 밤 10시에 다른호텔 예약하고 도망치듯 나왔어요 캐리어 3개만 방에 두고 몸만 빠져나와 다른 호텔서 잠을 자고 다음날 체크아웃때 짐을 찾으러 갔어요 그냥 수화물 맡기느라 이 호텔 예약했다치니깐 아깝진않더라구요 지하라서 와이파이도 안터지니 속지마세요 그리고 유로스타 타기전에 짐을 맡겨달라고 했더니 개당 5파운드를 달라했어요 캐리어와 백팩 에코백까지 갯수로 세더라구요 어이가 없어하니 그럼 퉁쳐서 10파운드로 해주겠다하더라구요 남은돈 다 털어서 주고 기분나쁘게 런던여행 마무리를 했답니다

The location of the hotel was great. However, the hotel is very old and needs updating. The bedding is not clean and the room was very small. There was one very small bar for four of us and no shower gel. I asked for extra shampoo and shower gel and was told that I can't have them both! They gave me a very cheap and bad quality shampoo only so I walked to the shops and bought shower gel and shampoo. They charged a lot of money for a very small room and dirty beds. I will never go back there again.

Our room for four was cramped and awkward. The furnishings and everything about the place worn and unlovely. But the white cotton sheets were clean and the mattresses though springy and old were comfortable enough and we slept. The shower was hot with good water pressure. The hotel is on a pleasant street just a block from Kings Cross so incredibly convenient. The guys at the desk were tired but helpful. We were able to leave our luggage after we checked out for just 5 pounds apiece (half the price of checked luggage at the station). If you're not too fussy, this can work for a night or two if you don't plan on spending any time in the room other than sleeping and showering.

We were told to come back as room not ready at check in time. Went back and still not ready. The room inside was worse. Main plugs were behind wardrobes, beds. There was two single beds and a double. Room clearly was a double or two singles. No room to move. By didn’t work. Kettle has to be moved to the floor to plug in. Room was a mess. Would not recommend

First time staying here and it was during a crisis. Very close to King’s Cross and staff welcoming. Great room and size, bedding is very different with lots of thinner layers compared to a duvet which I do prefer.

It was convenient and closed to what we wanted

The room was dirty and the bed smelled like it was dipped in a strong insecticide. The smell of the toilet is a story for another day.

Room was very tired and dated, limited space and shower was just a dribble of water.

Staff was great, but the actual hotel itself wasn’t the cleanest

Bed was NOT a double bed. Couldn’t open window as smell of weed filtered through from outside. Was extremely hot. Bedroom was extremely cramped. Bathroom was dirty. Water in shower drain still hadn’t soaked away. Towel to shower with was hand wash size. No hot water for shower - had to have a cold shower.

I would not stay here again, nor would I suggest it to others. We had a lot of luggage and were put on the top floor with no elevator. 3-4 flights of stairs. The WiFi barely works. The rooms haven’t been updated in probably 20 years by the looks of them. The rooms are VERY small. The room we purchased said that it slept 3 people. While that was true, the beds took up 90% of the room. There was barely room to walk through the room, let alone put our luggage. The bathroom is not big enough to get ready in. Barely enough room to turn around in there. The positive is that it is very close to the train station. However, note that you are far from all of the typical London attractions at this location. There is nothing really of note in this area.

Bed was not even a normal Double, No facilities such as kettle and coffee Tea Milk etc. Narrow stairs and no assistance with luggage as there is no lift. Only advantage was it was close to the Railway station would think twice about staying there again.

Very nice place and affordable for the neighborhood. We really enjoyed being close and accessible to many London sites.

Elmwood hotel is very close to Kingscross/St Pancras, off of a quiet square a block or so off the Euston Road. It's convenient for coming and going from the airport or for getting anywhere you want to go in London.

Small single room. Laminate floor could do with replacing very worn but roo was clean and comfy for 1 night stay close to Kings Cross for onward travel on Eurostar. Staff were friendly. Overall a nice stay.

No air conditioner, super tiny and loud if you open the window. Convenient location close to train and bus station

The staffs are simply amazing, so helpful, friendly, and personable, almost like family friends once we get to know them. So comfortable to stay. Some noise from the outside or other guests with young children can be a bit disturbing but that cannot be helped and the staff will try to accommodate the needs, wonderful!

The hotel was basic. A single bed in a room for an overnight stay, it was adequate but nothing special. Close to Kings Cross and moderately priced for London. Overnight was fine.
