Such a lush experience! The hotel was spectacular definitely recommend the feature rooms

Small room & bathroom for the money

not functioning ventilations, cramped toilet, initially safe in the room did not work trying to investigate why lead to discovery of much dust which was also under the bed. The continental breakfast was probably the poorest we have ever experienced. On the positive side very friendly personnel & fair service.

Lovely hotel, went there for Valentine’s day with my girlfriend. Lovely room, great bar staff. However, had a valentine’s meal in the restaurant, which was extremely poor service. Waited an hour and forty minutes for a meal The restaurant manager made no apology for the shocking service and the head waiter didn’t have a clue what she was doing or serving. Was served sparkling wine warm. Then given an ice bucket 10 minutes later. Not once did the waiter come over and ask if we wanted another drink. The restaurant manager spent more time tucking in his shirt into his trousers because he didn’t wear a belt. Not once did any of the waiters or restaurant manager go to certain parts or the restaurant to ask customers if they had a nice meal or wanted another drink. Really poor service. Will not be coming back to that restaurant ever again. Completely ruined the whole day.

Location is great. Breakfast is ok. Rooms are nice but to renovate. Nice bar and atmosphere in the hall.

Good hotel , car chargers big plus Staff good , restaurant not fantastic , a lot of options not available.

Lovely room in a good location, welcoming staff and overall very comfortable. Only negative was it was a little lacking in the tea, coffee and milk, not enough milk for two people to have a beverage with milk.

We spent two nights at the Gonville for a weekend break in Cambridge.

Kom til et sjarmerende eldre hotell, fint superior rom, men dessverre var det full av Møll… det var ikke like sjarmerende. Fikk endret rom til et uten synlige insekter. Så fram til en velsmakende frokost, men ble skuffet. Overfyll frokostsal, ble plassert i et kaldt utrivelige møterom… Det var lite utvalg i buffet og da vi fikk servert kaffe i kanne ved bordet var den kald! Dette skjedde to ganger! De hadde gluten frie alternativer da vi bestilte egg benedict. Pluss for at det var hundevennlig.

One of the best hotels for customer experience I've been to: the staff were helpful, polite and always greeted you with a smile. I had contacted them on booking and said it was a special occasion, and when we arrived there was a lovely card and treat waiting for us as a surprise, such a lovely touch. The reception staff were also fantastic at catching my random emails asking for little things to ensure a special surprise for my partner wasn't spoiled; they played along and it went off without a hitch. The Bentley experience was lovely. Only minor complaints were the room smelt a bit musty, but I think the ventilation for the bathroom wasn't as strong as it needs to be. And there was a lot of noise from the room above when they had a shower at 6am on a Sunday - it sounded like water trickling into our room. But if I'm visiting again will definitely stay again. Highly recommended

Lovely stay

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We would have liked more tea bags in the room…just one each per day!!!! ?????? The bar was rather bland and cold but the rooms and corridors were fine!!

Beautiful property in the centre of Cambridge with a unique charm, perfect for those looking for a luxurious and affordable stay. We had a lovely stay and will book again upon our return to Cambridge.

The Gonville is a beautiful hotel. Centrally located in Cambridge, it has a mixture of elegance and style. The rooms are very unique and brings back that feel of what UK hotels are renowned for. Lastly and more important I would like to say thank you to all the staff, immaculately dressed, polite and professional.

Quality hotel, great staff, dog friendly

Wonderfully welcome from the first moment we arrived, which continued throughout the rest of our stay. I chose this hotel as it was less corporate and from a small chain of hotels that I know provide a quality approach to all details ( which they did).
