This is a 2 star hotel I packed cereal milk fruit chocolate rice pickles olives i want a meal the high bank hotel 17 July-19 July The name of the hotel does not match the condition of this hotel no kitchen is available to prep rice the bath panel is of the bath the tv had no aerial no connection i was being changed rooms they said they was unaware about the tv no connection no ariel the staff talked about someone will be setting the tv i walked down stairs no rooms was available i called my mother talking about my health some man room right side was shouting something out towards me whilst their was a family making loud sound the bathroom door is of the frame the door is heavy i put the door against the bathroom door people should not look through if the door is against the door frame the shower is on should know that someone is showering whilst showering a child was looking at me showering saying your good at it i felt uncomfortable when i arrived at the hotel the receptionist showed me this bathroom not the bathroom downstairs i talked with the receptionist 19 july about the incident the bathroom door needs to be fixed the receptionist talked about the shower down stairs i was not given a hotel tour of this bathroom the bathroom the down stairs bathroom had a shower cubicle the receptionist offered to open the front door for me whilst checking out

i booked this property last minute and paid for a double room there were double rooms available and at first I was given the worst room up 4 flights of stairs when i asked why the staff said that’s all coz other rooms were booked out then i went back n complained he found me a room downstairs wasn’t clean old n worn out furniture stained bed sheets when i arrived there were an english couple who booked the same type of room but were given first class treatment and wasn’t scrutinised like me as i was asked for extra Id and my card details which wasn’t stated in booking I will not book there again as I feel as if Ive been somewhat racially pprofiled staff need proper training in diversity & the hotel needs to be deep cleaned it’s unacceptable for the money

When I checked in the receptionist was really full on demanding my passport. I explained I didn’t have it and she was really stroppy insisting that they need it. I was eventually shown to my room which was described as a deluxe ensuite room. It was not very nice. It was hot, no fan. The single bed was uncomfortable with springs digging out of the mattress. I had a shower which was ok but very small. Then I went to go out but found 3 men loitering outside in the front driveway area in their cars shouting and singing and making jokes. They made me feel very uncomfortable. I decided to check out as I didn’t feel safe. I was not allowed any refund so had to pay for 3 nights even though I was not staying at all. I’d rather lose my money than spend another minute in this horrible place.

Unclean, less than basic, room smelt like stale smoke and alcohol. No amenities. Staff rude and unhelpful on the phone before arriving. Would not recommend, or stay again.

Nice budget hotel. The lady at reception was very friendly and I stayed before. The good thing is they show you to your room so you are not looking around. Slept well and a nice warm shower. Bedroom is well kitted out with tv, kettle and teas, coffees etc. My 3rd stay now over the years and I certainly consider it if I come back to Leeds in the future.

Compare to the price of the room it was good.

Steps into the property are a health and safety hazard, need to have some hand rails. Stair carpets quite grubby and frayed in parts. Was on top floor and again missing hand rails. Location not good for public transport into city centre. Every guest seemed to be leaving and arriving in taxis

Good room and staff was very friendly

The ground floor was infested with fleas the pictures are not from anytime recent its shockingly bad.

6 rooms booked all rooms were not habitable, only two rooms were actually used only because no hotels in Leeds were available. My other guests refused to stay. This is not a hotel at best it is a hostel or for asylum seekers. Owner refused to resolve my complaints and I have raised a dispute with my credit card company.

The hotel was clean and the staff were excellent.

Mattress was so ubcomfotable and guests fighting in hallway.noisy guests and shower leaked all over floor . Glove put over smoke alarm by previous guest so was room cleaned correclty

Welcoming staff, big clean room. Good value for money - no breakfast. I am not from Leeds and travel there on business. The cab driver who drove me from the train station did not sound impressed when I told him I was staying at the High Bank Hotel. However, his tone and opinion improved when he dropped me off. He said he was very impressed at how well the property looked with its modern renovations and he noted that it was well lit. I told him I always stay here on business trips. Shops, restaurants, supermarkets and takeaway shops are 10 minutes walk down the hill. Bus stop outside the hotel. If walking, to reach the hotel entrance, you walk a short distance up a very steep incline. I have not seen any accessible adjustments in place and there are wide steps leading to the hotel entrance.

No tv Moved another room no heating

Room was pretty clean though some dirt beneath the window

Despite pre-paying on hotels.com the receptionist still needed my bankcard to 'check me in' - having already taken a photocopy of my id Woken up just after 8am by the fire alarm. I was heading to fire exit when it was switched off - it then went off 3 more times over the next 20 mins. I decided to check out early because of this. Reception said it was caused by someone having a shower!
