The staff, food, accommodation plus the attention to detail was magnificent

Hotel was located in a beautiful setting. There was ample free parking. Good choice of breakfast items. We also ate in the restaurant both evenings. The food was delicious. The bar area was cosy. Room was spacious with everything we required. We had to turn the radiators off though as room was far to hot for me. Not a bad point just personal preference, it was great to have the choice of hot or cold room though. We had a dog friendly room and thought it was great my dog could accompany me in the dining room, which was spacious.

Excellent accommodation a great place to stay. All staff were very friendly and personable. Couldn't do enough for you. I am Gluten Free and that was extremely well catered for. Something different off menu every night and excellent English Breakfasts and GF Corn Flakes. Couldn't ask for any better GF accommodation . Ideal location if you like the out doors and walking

Arrived to a bank of motorbikes which was a bit intimidating but after that (they left after 5 mins) everything was A1👌 Good sunday roast; room tastefully decorated; shower was great but best of all was the quality mattress and feather pillows - slept easily which is unusual for me in hotels. Lovely ambience throughout the hotel too. Stylish & excellent stay for the price point. Would def go back.

This hotel was excellent in terms of customer service, comfortable bed, tasty menu - dinner and breakfast. The chef made my husband a delicious cake for his birthday. We were surprised, and disappointed at the number of dogs allowed in the dining area. This would deter us rebooking for any future visit.

Room was small. Food eas very good.

The property was seeped in history. We stayed in room 3, the Kings room. A lovely compact room, spotless with lovely little touches such as a great selection of tea, coffee and hot chocolate, a fresh little bottle of milk, a comfy bed, feather duvet, black out curtains, great shower and toiletries. The breakfast was fantastic. George, our host gave us helpful information and free tickets to Raby Castle. Wow, what a fabulous castle. The rooms were stunning and thd guides very knowledgeable. We would definitely stay here again. Alina & Steve

Stayed before the hotel was renovated. Now everything is lovely and tastefully decorated. Very calm amd relaxing. Food and service excellent. Room 8 was a little small but perfect for a 1 night stay, ensuite immaculate. Would recommend staying and doing the low force to high force walk on the opposite side of the river.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The High Force Hotel. The team were extremely friendly and helpful. The food was 10/10 and this has been one of the cleanest hotels we have ever stayed in

Fantastic service throughout our stay at this unique hotel. The dinner and breakfast were excellent and nothing was too much trouble. The only slight negative is the size of the classic room.! A tad snug.

Cannot recommend this hotel more highly. Could not fault a thing. Will definitely return if this way again. In fact it is one of the best hotels we have stayed in. And we have stayed in a lot.

Friendly staff, great food & ambience. Over the road & just 10 minutes walk to high force. Small room but adequate.

Peacefully set close to an attractive waterfall in upper Teesdale, the High Force hotel is very professionally run. Our room (9) was spacious and well appointed, with good heating. The quality of food and its presentation was good, though we would have liked some variety in the menu from night to to night. We enjoyed our stay and would happily return.

Superb location, classy small location with great local sourced food and service. Could not have done more to make our stay special
