We had a comfortable stay. The room itself was dated and tired looking and not really worth the price we paid. However, the actual bar and dining area were lovely, modern and bright. The evening menu was very accommodating for dietary needs and the food was very nice. The breakfast was amazing, great choice of hot and cold foods.

It was very welcoming and friendly staff, justbright for commuting and visiting some nice laces in the area.

I have stayed here a few times in the past and felt like its a great 'go to' when visiting the area. During my last stay, (December) I found the room extremely cold and the reception staff highly dismissive as apparently 'i was the only one complaining' lol Never again....

Check in was friendly and welcoming, except when we walked what seemed like half a mile to our room there was no WIFI code on the card. Phoned reception to get the code and report that the tv had been switched to Polish for all menus. Three hours later no one had turned up so I physically went back to reception and someone was dispatched straight away. Unfortunately she didn't speak Polish so was going to put a maintenance request in for Monday (we were staying just for Saturday night). Half an hour later between myself and my daughter and the internet on our phones translating we managed to reset the TV ourselves. The bathroom was very cold and had no form of heating, not even the towel rail. That was a problem on Sunday morning when the shower was backing up and flooded the floor. Unfortunately the extractor fan was so ineffectual I didn't notice the flood in the steam clouds. Once I mopped the flood up it was a further hour before the mirror etc had cleared so that I could shave. As we had somewhere to be my daughter didn't have time to shower, had she wished to paddle. The receptionist did apologise when we left but that didn't help us much. Fortunately at the local annual event we were attending we were advised of a better hotel locally for next time.

We didn’t like the fact that we had a family room but only 2 cups ,2 Large towels and no sofa bed made up.The receptionist was very arrogant and it seemed like everything was too much trouble I.e seeing if our room was ready at 14:50 .The room carpet was wet near the door/bathroom which was inconvenient as we had to put shoes on to go to the toilet.The room was quiet and warm but the shower tray needed a good scrub.

Very poor hotel: I booked a premium room, but was given a standard room - I queried this, but was told that's all we've got. Asked for a reduced rate and was told that the manager would have to agree to this request, but he wasn't available to authorise and I have not been subsequently contacted. Room was very tired and clearly not what I had paid for and no milk so I couldn’t even make a cup of tea or a coffee in the morning. Bathroom had layer of scum around the top of the sink, although the shower was nice with an unusual wave effect – I guess this occurred when others were showering……. City rates for drinks in the bar, exploiting the captured audience – glad I didn’t eat there and from what I could see from the take-away bags in the corridors, it’s probably best not to dine in. To be honest breakfast was also proof of this with a poor selection and when I asked for poached eggs I thought I’d asked for the earth!

Hotel fab ,clean,friendly staff ,only down fall was the fire alarm at 1245 am because some idiot had a cigarette in the room ,bit that wasnt the hotels fault overall it was a fab stay

Nice enough property, with friendly staff. Room was clean but basic, soap dispenser fell off the wall. Food in the restaurant/ bar was good. Public toilet for men was neglected. Plaster falling off the walls, poorly maintained.

Even though the room was paid for upfront the hotel had overbooked and there was no rooms available on check in. Was sent to another HI hotel to the south of this location which was useless as the hotel had been originally chosen as a stop off on a long distance northbound journey. Avoid Holiday Inn wherever possible

Staff very welcoming Yet again no lift for disabled people so had to go round a dark carpark to get to my room.plug not working in the bathroom ,smell of damp down the corridors and a bucket catching water as a bad leak. Breakfast good a little egg over cooked but staff very helpful

Only there briefly, but service was good. Room was clean and tidy, although some of the furniture and the doors are from yesteryear. My bed was great, don’t remember seeing a kettle in the room, corridors clean but smelt like cleaning materials as well. Overall, great value and I would come back!

Was good stay but my email said checkout was noon and it was actually 11 woman at reception couldn’t of been nicer bout it it but some one knocked nd rang making out it was big deal
