Apologies for the honest reviews but I guess it would help the backpacker to decide where they want to stay. Pros: Ensuite Near to city centre Opposite of Tesco Next to church Cons: Room is too small WiFi wasn’t good Water system wasn’t good No clear picture of rooms just the bed Upon my request for early access as I was leaving early next day. It should be written on website that WiFi is not working as a traveller we need good connectivity. So, would may be prefer Air bnb as I paid a lot of amount for small room.

Really cozy feeling to the whole place. The room had a great feeling to it and felt like somewhere you'd want to be even at home.

Wonderful location slap in the middle of Hull. Its a no frills accommodation but satisfying and i would recommend staying here as we have done for the last 4 years

Glenn was friendly and helpful, with lots of knowledge about the local area. Great stay!

Glenn was absolutely fantastic, warm and made you feel like a million pounds. Location is great, I recommend The Deep. The rooms were clean and quiet. Easy check in process and a real feel good factor about the place. I can’t fault it.

I enjoyed Hull city backpackers because of the cheap price Walls weee wafer thin and you could hear other people snore in the private room Owner doesn’t like constructive criticism as got a terse answer on another review site when I left a review. Modern language has moved on beyond gender and so it would be good if the property owner learned the correct term for how to address non binary people as I did give instructions in my booking. Most modern private rooms in hostels have a television which unfortunately this property does not and you have to use headphones on laptops and phones after 10 pm despite you being able to hear what everyone else is doing in other private rooms because of the thin walls . Nice chimes from Hull minster day and night which are relaxing Hostel is in the Old town area of Hull and can be noisy at night Good value property but could do with a few tweaks to make it perfect

Great stay, a last minute decision for a night in Hull. We had our own room with en-suite & we couldn’t fault it. Full use of kitchen on 2nd floor if needed. Staff couldn’t be nicer. Very convenient multi story car park opposite (cost us £9.50 to park overnight). Would definitely go back again 👍

Excellent location with good price. Host was very accommodating and the multi-storey carpark opposite was a benefit. I will be using here again.

Sadly I had a terrible stay at this backpackers. Booked 2 nts, only stayed 1 nt, felt I was being attacked on bottom bunk bed, moved to upper bed near window, not as bad, felt something in hair and bitten!!!! Alarm bells were ringing, when I arrived and the gentleman went to make up my bunk and took the dog up too!!!! would not recommend. Stayed in Lincoln 1 nt £80, had to be done.

After my travel plans were disrupted due to train strikes, the venue was perfect for my needs ... A straightforward room, somewhere to rest my head for the night and the venue delivered.

Get what you pay for + human interaction !!! Perfect for (re) discovering the hidden gem that is Kingston upon Hull

One night & single room was comfortable.

Comfortable and clean, good that you can take your Dogs
