A hotel with a bit of history a stones throw from Plymouth Hoe. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful. The room was comfortable and although there are no lifts it wasn’t too much of an effort to reach my top floor room.
Breakfast was freshly made with a menu catering for all tastes and requirements. there was a buffet breakfast available too.
At night there is a bar which you can use instead of sitting in your room. Evening meals can be found in the area with a variety of restaurants or you can order in.
Parking is either at the hotel if you book in advance or is available in the street. Payment is by phone or an app. I will rebook again if I return to Plymouth.

Unfortunately, we were moved to their sister hotel named ‘The Drake Hotel’ due to no room available. But the Drake Hotel’ staff were amazing, very helpful with our little dog, set up private breakfast area and oh yeah the breakfast was delicious too.

The parking was good at the hotel and only £10 a night.
The hotel is lovely, good breakfast, bar open till 02:00, rooms very comfortable.
Would recommend staying here and close to the city centre.

Enjoyable stay at the hotel. Pleasant room with walk-in shower in the ensuite. Friendly staff, wonderful breakfast. Reasonably priced drinks from the bar. I wish I had been told I could pre-book parking at the hotel as it is very expensive to park on the street.

Room was in attic up 5 flights of stairs no lift last flight became narrow and steep with a sharp turn. Room floor was not level was slanted , room really dated and old. No plug sockets by bed, no lamp on one side.Bathroom facilities also old and tiles all stained. Did not even unpack as was so disappointed for the price we payed. Staff where very pleasant and friendly.would definitely not recommend

Very pleasant stay and great location!
Special shout out to Olivia who did a tremendous job at breakfast, the dining room was packed with guests and it overflowed into the lounge bar too! They were working with skeleton staff and everyone came down to eat at the same time, however, she did a fantastic job … well done Olivia!

we loved our 2 nights at the hotel its ideally placed for the seafront and the city centre.

My room was mostly ok but no air con and the fan provided in the room was faulty (only had one fan speed and would not oscilate).
Bathroom shower pressure was very poor, despite adjusting the nozzle so took a long time to shower.
Was clean enough, comfortable and breakfast in the morning was decent.

Serive itself was good however room 15 was grubby with stains everywhere on the window and seat side, then the bathroom had spots of mold and a poorly designed door that cramps you in to close it. Room fan was an absolute joke and mrs and i were constantly uncomfortable in the room the whole time daytime and nighttime

I appreciated the staff. Very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included and was very tasty. The room was clean and had the amenities we needed. Clean. Hotel is within walking distance of many things to see in Plymouth. The history of the hotel is quite interesting.
