The grounds and breakfast

Room was excellent. Leisure facilities felt more like a public leisure centre than a hotel. Breakfast was good, but evening meal at the Stove restaurant was v average aunderunderwhelming.Breakfast was good, evening meal.

Lovely quiet location, super handy for the airport. Warm welcome from the host. Super clean room, funky decor, comfy bed. Small touches like fresh milk in the in-room fridge, water and biscuits make all the difference. A lovely change from a “hotel”. Definitely would stay again. Thank you!

Excellent and relaxing place to stay. You can walk out of the hotel and climb a Wainwright, then return for a relaxing time in the Spa. Staff are really friendly and professional.

This Hotel has great grounds to wonder around a beautiful Restaurant and a pub down the road our stay was fantastic.

Ideal base for sight seeing and walking . Staff were very friendly and most helpful. Used the Stove a couple of times and the food was great, didn't use the spa as we decided to get out and about and sight see. Will definitely be going back.

We stayed at the Langdale for our minimoon in the Lakes. The room was spacious and comfortable with a great shower! The Stove restaurant served quality food and had a large selection at breakfast including pancakes, killers and the full English amongst others, with friendly staff and servers. We particularly enjoyed and would recommend the Brimstone Spa, we had a couples massage and spent all afternoon using the thermal facilities which were really relaxing in the most beautiful surroundings!

Great stay, staff all friendly and helpful. Steam and sauna area could do with refreshing but still more than acceptable.

The hotel is situated in a beautiful part of the lake district with many close attractions to visit and is excellently placed for a walking holiday. The rooms are spacious and the grounds between the different building of the hotel are beautiful. The dinner in the restaurant was excellent especially the shared pork roast. The breakfast was good but the service at both meals was not as good as you would expect form a restaurant of this quality and cost. The swimming pool and gym were very good. there is an excellent well price pub within close walking distant. Overall a very enjoyable stay

Room was comfortable with several helpful additions (eg umbrellas,decent glasses, great Wi-fi). Staff dealt promptly with a maintenance issue (badly leaking radiator) and changed our room efficiently. Rooms are not cheap and you are paying a premium for the great location and spa/swimming facilities. Restaurant much better than it used to be, good breakfast, but still very easy to clock up a hefty bill if you eat there for other meals.

Outstanding hotel in great location. Extremely efficient staff all round. Wish we were there longer but will definitely be returning.
