Warm and friendly service by everyone. Food was great, room comfortable and accomodating to dogs. Perfect location to get the best out of the scenic walks in the area. Would come again.

10 out of 10 there was nothing you could fault. The area is amazing with beautiful scenery. The hotel is stunning. Upon arrival the staff were warm and friendly and this continued through the whole weekend. The room was huge with a massive bed. Clean and a great welcome tray with drinks and biscuits water and more. The shower was amazing overhead shower and the cleanliness perfect. The food is tasty and plentiful piping hot and delicious. Breakfast was one of the best we have ever had. Couldn't wish for more from the staff and accommodation.

Such a beautiful spot to have a pub/ hotel. The staff are friendly and polite and the food delicious. My only dislike was that even though we didn’t have a dog with us. Our room had clearly been used by someone who had a dog with them previously. The rooms could do with a paint in places and there were some huge cobwebs on the ceiling. We were greeted on arrival with a used earplug on the floor.
The rooms just need a bit of TLC and a good thorough top to bottom clean especially if you are allowing dogs in there.

Room 11 was superb. The evening meal was a big let down. The duck was very over done and the steak and kidney pie contained very little steak! I was looking forward to the cheese selection, but there was so little cheese, it didn't surprise me that you served small biscuits! There were two tiny slivers of cheese on the plate. I really felt cheated by the cost given such a small amount! The breakfast was very good..a welcome meal after such a skimpy dinner.

Fantastic! Absolutely brilliant location, and gorgeous room. The food in the restaurant and for breakfast is amazing, with plenty of vegetarian options. To top it off , the staff are very friendly!

We had a great stay at the Lister Arms. We stayed in a cozy room, which was cozy, but absolutely fine. The breakfast was good, and food in the restaurant great. The service provided throughout was exceptional. Would definitely recommend.

sorted our luggage on arrival around 10.30 allowing us to walk all day. check in on return quick & efficient but room disappointing small & cramped. shower door fell off on second morning and to get the correct shower temperature it was necessary to run the washbasin hot tap whilst showering. nowhere to store cases and little room for toiletries in bathroom. great location and food but disappointing accommodation
