We were disappointed with the service from the moment we arrived, which certainly did not reflect a five-star experience. At check-in, the receptionist was unfriendly and made us feel like an inconvenience. We noticed other guests were offered water on arrival, whereas we were not, but initially put this down to an oversight. Things worsened when we discovered physical photo ID was required. We had photos of our passports on our phones, which were accepted, but only after making it clear this was an inconvenience. We were then informed that Apple Pay could not be used for the incidental deposit. Although unusual, we accepted this, but as we had no physical card, another payment link had to be arranged. Again, we were made to feel like a burden and were simply told to sit and wait, with no explanation or apology. When my husband spoke to the manager, rather than addressing our concerns, he told us we should not have booked through a third party and implied that booking directly would have provided us with the necessary information. We found this response disappointing, as guests should receive the same standard of service regardless of how they book. Overall, we felt unwelcome throughout and the service was far below what we expected from a five-star hotel.

Recently renovated/remodeled. Room looked new inside. Staff very helpful and professional. Great location in Mayfair. Luxury hotel.

Staff was solid. Had an issue with late room service order. They delivered to the wrong room, then said it was my fault, that I gave them the wrong number even though I called from the room phone. There was no accountability the they made the mistake and blaming it on a guest is unacceptable

The location is great. The bed and pillows are really comfortable. The staff was very helpful. Although I have to say this time I traveled with my dad who has a limited Mobility and I do not advise people using wheelchairs or with a limited Mobility to choose this hotel because there are stairs at the entrance.

Perfectly located hotel, a 2 minute walk to Marble Arch Tube and 5 minutes from Hyde Park. Hotel is very modern, clean and has great staff. Note the rooms are quite small, but likely due to the building itself. Not a lot of space in the Atelier room, but enough for a couple of days. Would likely stay there again, due to location and if it’s right priced.

Unfortunately a lift was broken during our stay, but staff and amenities and location were all top notch.

Exceptionally welcoming staff - notably Sean, Maria, and Malachi - who helped make my early arrival after an overnight flight a delight.

The new Montcalm property redefined my expectations of a London hotel. Every team member’s genuine warmth & willingness to help at any hour of any day was astonishing, & very much appreciated. This special property will be our new “spot” when coming to London!

Great hotel in perfect location, with best staff.

Hotel was recently renovated and it has been done beautifully. We stayed here back in 2005. Great staff, excellent service

This is an exceptional property that is to be very highly recommended. First of all, the location is excellent, being just two blocks away from Marble Arch - close enough for convenience, but away from the crowds. The property has also just been renovated with a lot of taste and attention to detail (all the way down to simple things like the hairdryer and hair straightener, which are top notch). We traveled with our 8-year old son and the staff were wonderful with him and very thoughtful. We really felt like we were “coming home” every time we came back. Will definitely be staying here again on our next trip to London!

This hotel is amazing!!! It is newly renovated and everything is in brand new condition. The interior design is OUTSTANDING. You have to see it to believe. If comfort, design, quietness, cleanness and luxurious are important to you don't miss out on this stunning hotel. The location is prestigious, very close to Marble Arch and Oxford street. The SPA and Gym are beautiful and equipt with everything you could want, even a beautiful Yoga room available 24/7. The staff is very welcoming and attentive. If traveling more than one person, choose the slightly bigger room as the wardrobe area is limited.
