Third time staying here and it was perfect in every way . Spa quiet and so relaxing . Food and room great . Can’t recommend enough .

We had a really lovely stay for 2 nights at Rothay Garden. We booked dinner on the first night which was high quality. The views over the garden from the restaurant were really relaxing. We booked a luxury room which was really clean and spacious and had a terrace.

A beautiful property with everything you need. The spa was very small but we ended up being the only two people in there from 18:30 till 20:00. The dinner was delicious and breakfast was lovely. The staff were attentive and helpful. A really lovely last minute getaway.

The accommodation was expensive and then you are charged £10 per night to park when they cannot guarantee space in their small shingle car park. I thought that a shabby and grabbing change since the hotel buy out. By comparrison Grand at Grasmere is newer, slick, clean and cheaper. Great views of lake, car park marked out, and free. Will book there in future.

Excellent hotel lovely spa facilities and a lovely restaraunt and lovely reception staff

Lovely stay at Rothay Garden. The hotel is well maintained with lovely grounds, the room was clean and with a very good shower. But what really stood out was the great service, with very courteous staff. Excellent place to stay in Grasmere

Beautiful quiet property with lovely, friendly staff. The evening meal and breakfast were superb. The room was large, very comfortable and had a lovely patio overlooking the river. The hotel grounds were immaculate and had beautiful views of the hills. It was an easy walk into the town and there were lots of great walks from the door.

Bathroom a bit shabby and tired door paint poor some mould above bathroom mirror. Disapointed with car parking charge for not booking directly with the hotel. Supprised at the addation cost of a decaff cappuccino "upgrade"at breakfast. Hotel could not make a mocha as it was not on the drinks menu

Nice spacious lodge with comfortable beds - although connected to another and noisy when neighbours watching tv, in bathroomnetc. Bad service and quite rude staff on check in sadly. Hotels.com confirmed breakfast included on chat but hotel said it wasn't - went up the road to the swan for breakfast and dinner which was fabulous with friendly service. Good location for grasmere though - although even as resident parking charge was £10!

Great location and amenities, strange breakfast, peas with poached eggs? We’ve been a few times now and there has been a recent change of hands. Highly recommended, but please look at the breakfast menu!

Stayed for 2 nights. Lovely hotel, ideal location. Arrived early and was able to leave the car at the hotel after checking with reception. There is a daily charge for parking, though if you're planning on just being in and around Grasmere it is reasonable compared to the public car parks. Check-in was smooth & trouble-free. A complimentary room upgrade with a large room on the top floor offering views over the fells. Room was spacious, warm and the bed very comfy. A large bathroom with double shower & bath perfect for after a days walking. I only had breakfast at the hotel which consisted of a generous selection of cereals, pastries, fruit, yoghurt, juices etc. Cooked food is ordered and brought to you. Again a generous selection. Only slight downside was the second morning it felt as though they were a bit busier than expected at that time; took 25 minutes to take my order and when it arrived it was luke warm at best; as if pre cooked and not kept hot. Which is a shame as the quality of the food is excellent. Unfortunately, I didnt get time to make use of the spa facilities. All of the staff were incredibly friendly, and nothing was too much trouble. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and wouldnt hesitate to stay again or recommend to others.

Friendly, attentive staff. Tasty breakfast. Comfortable room, with complementary gin. Enjoyed spending time in the spa. Used our Expedia reward in the bar, relaxing in front of the fire. A great birthday getaway. Just a shame that they feel the need to charge for parking. Would certainly recommend Rothay Garden and hope to return in the future.

Fantastic hotel, spotlessly clean, great breakfast in beautiful surroundings. Last minute booking at a great price, staff friendly. Just to note there was a £10 parking charge which i didnt see mentioned in the booking

Great room and lovely spa. However one incredibly rude staff in the restaurant that made you feel like asking any question was insulting. For how expensive it is you don’t expect to be treated like that!
