This hotel was the most memorable on this trip. I stayed here for consecutive 5 days and everyday I stayed was all good. All the staff were so nice and humorous, and they took care of me warmly. The shower booth was a little small, but there was no problem using it.The bed was appropriate for good sleep. The breakfast meal was simple but nutritious and the place for meal was so cozy. The internet connection via wifi was well-working. Most of all, the location was perfect for sightseeing alone in London. It was close enough to walk to museums, galleries and the West End, and was not at all dangerous as it was located on a big street when walking late after night watching musicals.

A nice hotel, and by London standards (usually low) OK standard . Good location in rather quiet area but close enough for walking towards the center.

Çok şirin bir butik otel ve güler yüzlü çalışanlar mevcut. Ancak aile olarak konaklamamızda çocuklara çok uzakta bir oda vermişlerdi ve zar zor yakınımıza aldık birde yataklar bize küçük geldi belki alışık olduğumuzdan farklı olduğu içindir. Lokasyonu harika bir yerde , merkezde her yere beş dakika yürüme mesafesinde oluşu şahane. Teşekkür ederiz

Cute hotel in a great location.

Beautiful historical property near the British Museum

My second time to stay in the hotel, I really like the vibe and the location is Great. Si Easy to get to from TCR tube station. 10min Walk. The rooms are compact and you have to climb a few sets of stairs to get there about 4 or 5 flights to my room. Last Time I was on ground floor, but no big deal at the same time. Full sized bathroom with shower 🚿 nice bar and courtyard area outdoor for summer drinks. Got complimentary drinks as I didn't get one last time because there was a slight delay with my room last time. Complimentary soft drinks mini bar and Continental breakfast in the morning which is nice. Coffee ☕ or tea ☕ and usual cereal 🥣 and pastries 🥐 etc. really Nice.

Feels like being a guest in a beautifully maintained city home. Staff is friendly & helpful. A pleasant outdoor courtyard is great for a drink or your dinner. There are many stairs, and no lift but staff will bring your luggage up & down for you. I would return to this comfortable personal hotel again and again.

The staff was very attentive and the hotel is perfect! Breakfast was really nice too.

AC unit started leaking water. Staff quickly fixed the issue and offered another room. Two days later it leaked again. Moved to a new room with more space, but no bathroom sink space and right below the street. In the new room cars, motorcycles and people were noisy throughout the night. Not the hotels fault, just try to get a room not located next to the street. Great location Walking distance from shopping, stores and broadway shows.

Rooms not as advertised. This is NOT a 5-star or luxury hotel. Staff not the best or very attentive either.

We have stayed in many hotels and found The Academy to be just like a small, family run hotel. It was excellent. The staff could not have been friendlier and more helpful, particularly Felix and the ladies in the breakfast room. The bar and garden are beautiful and the room was spacious, spotlessly clean and the bed very comfortable. We would not hesitate to stay again.

Friendly staff, small rooms, really small. My roomed had the stench of overcooked broccoli pretty much the whole stay. The single rooms are dark, low lighting, and room 43 must be over their kitchen trash…not recommended.

Good location to British Museum and many walkable parts of the city; easy going vibe; helpful staff. Only surprise was the thimble size of the single room, which took some gymnastics to maneuver.

A very nice hotel located within walking distance to Soho, Oxford street, Buckingham Palace etc. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was amazing. The best I have ever had in UK.

The room was small but had windows and it was well decorated. Breakfast is very good

Absolute perfect location. Very tranquil area with many great small cafes and restaurants. Was quiet and calm at night and very walkable to everything. The room was large and very comfortable. We would stay again.

Great service

Excellent staff, but some rooms and bathrooms are very small. No elevator. The breakfast is minimal with no hot items except tea/coffee unless you pay extra.
