Love staying here when we visit the UK - its close to our family and friends and you get a real small village feel. Staff at the hotel are great and the breakfast is fantastic. Definitely prefer this to the any of the big name hotel chains so would absolutely recommend to anyone.

Uncomfortable bed, no bath, and noise from 07:50 on a Sunday. The room looked nice but I was disappointed to not have a bath despite the room booking saying Bath / Shower combo. The bed was so uncomfortable I woke up with back pain, we both kept rolling to the middle of the bed all night. There was a very noisy extraction fan from the kitchen turned on at 07:50 which vibrated through our entire room. Appreciate its rooms surrounding a pub, but there’s clearly a fault with the fan. Bathroom had a frosted door and the toilet was right behind it…. Not sure why this can’t be a normal door. Very rare we get a night away as parents, so pretty upset. Didn’t bother staying for breakfast so can’t comment on that. Staff were nice, but won’t be staying again.

I had ‘the snug’ but it’s not that small and served its purpose perfectly. With a lovely hot shower too!!

The room was good value. The surrounding area is good. Back again in 2 weeks.

Check in very friendly showed us to our room and explained what we needed to know. Room was very nice and very clean and comfortable. Will definitely stay again.

Really nice room. Clean. Comfortable. Friendly and helpful staff. Evening meal in the bar was fantastic and breakfast was spot on. Will definitely stay there again.

Great stay

We had a lovely one night stay in rook 18 (Called Afternoon tea) to visit family in the area. Room was amazing, fabulous bathroom, excellent food for dinner and breakfast. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Would certainly recommend and will stay again when in the area.

A fantastic place with very modern rooms and a welcoming group of staff. The two restaurants are lovely especially the Pub which has the classic pub feel but very clean and well presented. The room was immaculate and very cosy!

Nous avions réservé des suites, elles étaient magnifiques, spacieuses, propres et une très bonne literie, biscuits maison dans la chambre, délicieux ! Nous avons dîné sur place d’un excellent fish and chips. Également un bon petit déjeuner. Et du personnel très sympathique !!

Regular visitor and love the spacious and individuality of the rooms. It also means we can stay without having to have an accessibility room as have walk in shower and plenty of room for walkers etc. Service always exceptional and go the extra mile. Food is also delicious! Great area to walk the dog.

Very nice venue with friendly and helpful staff. Our room was modern and spacious. We will definitely return at some point soon.

The surrounding area is what makes this hotel such a nice place to stay. The hotel is family friendly.

Lovely room very quirky. Breakfast good and reasonably priced too.
