we had a late dinner which did the job. unfortunately our room faced the car park so we didn't get the lake view but we did have a very friendly duck tapping on the window in the morning. we could walk to the front and see some of the lake but there was a wedding fair on so access was somewhat restricted. overall a pleasant room and quiet stay.

We absolutely loved the cosy lodge we stayed in. The food at The Boathouse was brilliant and the owner was so welcoming. Very family friendly too.

What a wonderful place to stay, the location is perfect if you are looking for a peaceful stay over looking a large lake. Our room was great, comfy bed and had its own sitting room so plenty of space to relax. The staff were so friendly and I really felt nothing would have been too much to if we asked. We didn't book a table for the evening but they made sure one was free for us. We are already planning on going back.

My 5th or 6th stay here as I use it for work trips. It is always nice. The food is good, the location is good and the rooms are nice. What else could you want.

72 working nights away over the past twelve months, don't normally leave reviews. The standards here, however, are truly exceptional and deserve recognition. Definitely worth a visit.

Great couple of nights away, very scenic, and short drives to nearby attractions. Resturant & staff are friendly and helpful. I would recommend to others.

Food, lodgings and staff were all incredible. If I return I would request a room on the other side of the property as the generator noise kept me up at night

Lovely property, good stay

Bed has stains on the matress was shocking for price and extremely hostile place.

"The boathouse is such a lovely and peaceful place, away from the hustle and bustle of the busier seaside resorts. It offers the best of both worlds. Despite being a popular venue for weddings, the music was kept at a low volume and we couldn't hear anything from room 6, so we had a really good night's sleep. My two children had a blast at the little play park, and the breakfast was absolutely delightful. The room rates were reasonable, and our overall experience was just lovely. Thank you!"
