Bed so comfortable. Staff pleasant and helpful. Lovely hot water. Softest towels. Plenty of tea coffee etc.

Friendly staff, although Hotel access seems a bit like a backup plan. Heading in behind the bar to get to the rooms. The showers also were iffy on temperature, solid temp for first few mins, then ice cold and steaming hot cycles.

Comfortable, spacious room. No fuss check in. Pub seemed nice, i had other plans

Lovely buzz , friendly staff and all you need in the room including a huge comfortable bed for 6ft 7in husband!

Perfect location to explore Bristol's Gloucester Road shops and restaurants. Friendly pub with good food options and beer selections. Room was large and bed was comfy. Bathroom is small, but you get use to it.

Clean rooms but surprised my room was not en suite, with a private bathroom up the corridor. Excellent staff. Dodgy door for access after 11pm. I was locked out and had to knock on the window. Also no breakfast available. Good beer in the pub itself.

The bathroom was shared and along the corridor - just as well we weren'f shy as we had only towels to wear!

Pleasant, spacious room, friendly staff on arrival, however no parking available so had to park on the road outside. It was pub quiz night and my room was directly above the bar, so it was very noisy (suggest avoiding Tuesdays or arriving in time to get a parking space and joining in the quiz!). Other than this a pleasant stay.

Great one night stay, staff at Crafty Cow superb, room was great; bar served great food and choice of beers!

We stayed one night during the week. Staff were friendly and helpful and our room was clean with two comfy single beds. Tasty food in the bar downstairs, seems popular with local folks. Plenty of eating tables. An interesting 30 minute walk down the famous trendy Gloucester Road will get you to the centre.

Would stay again. Good evening food and great entertainment. Staff are decent people. Heads up, no breakie in the morning.

Really friendly at check in and throughout. Free parking a bonus. Room was great for what we needed with good facilities. Loved the fact there was a bar downstairs - very convenient for a nightcap. Not noisy at all. Room very hot (weather was extreme) and only one window to open but there was a fan. Would definitely stay again when in the area,

Great place with great food and service! We were really pleasantly surprised, it’s a little oasis hidden from the busy road. The beer garden is fab!

This place is a pub with rooms and my feeling is that the rooms are generally rented by working men on short stays. Not couples in their 70s like me and my husband. For example there was a clothes rail but no coat hangers. And no hair dryer but plenty of USB points. The bed was large and very comfortable. The main plus of the Crafty Cow was the staff. They were all lovely and couldn’t have been more helpful. Especially the brilliant Graham who did source me a hairdryer. I’m a smoker so the large beer garden with a covered area was a big plus. The food was fabulous and on a Friday evening it was very busy. They don’t do breakfast but there are various choices about 15 minutes walk away. Also a shop 5 minutes away. We stayed there because it was near friends we were visiting and would definitely stay there again if in the area. Another plus is that residents get 10% off all food and drink purchased there. What’s not to like!

Friendly welcome, clean room (most important), comfortable bed (also important), nice view over park, excellent food and good choice of beers. Easy walk to Southmead hospital (saves a taxi fare, which was one of the reasons I chose it). What's not to like?
