Extremely hot room even though a fan was available- windows wouldn’t open as secondary glazing to stop noise from road … Avoid heatwave days ! I would ask for a back room another time. Breakfast not available until 9 am which isn’t helpful if working ! On a positive note staff very friendly and helpful!

A bit complicated getting up to the room through multiple stairs & narrow/short passage ways - especially if you have luggage. The blinds above one bed were missing, so the bright light woke us up at 5 am... And hazard all over - wooden beams going across the bed so if you sat up abruptly- you hit your head. The bathroom too had a beam going across and you had to duck to use the toilet or shower. Surprised these issues are permissible for a lodging facility...

Hotel was good staff were great and tried their very best to keep us cool during the mini heatwave great base to explore all the sights in the Cotswolds.

Excellent hotel and very friendly staff and the price was very good. I will be staying again

Friendly staff and a nice clean room

Shower didn’t work far too hot forced to have a bath. Room was covered in dirt, dents and scuff marks everywhere. Plug sockets for lamps were not legal UK ones they were Indian ones, made us feel unsafe.

Very friendly welcome and a lovely little hotel. Excellent price and a nice big room. The only issue was the heating seemed to be broken in the room so there was a small space heater. It was difficult to gauge what setting to have the heater on and so I woke in the middle of the night very hot and had to adjust it. The bathroom was also very cold. Otherwise a very nice and comfortable stay.

Staff are really friendly and accommodating, good food. Lots of character and history lovely place to stay.

The bedroom smelt awful which we realised after a while was probably due to the wet carpet. The room was cold, the radiator didn’t appear to work but we were given a fan heater which warmed it up nicely. The bathroom was ok but is in desperate need of some tlc as is the bedroom.

Friendly staff, clean room

On arrival the gentleman was unable to sort out our check in and had to get another member of staff to help us. There seemed to be some confusion however the second man then took the details from my phone and we were shown to our room. The initial feeling wasn’t too great, with a single pendant light with one of those old energy saving bulbs that has to warm up and twin beds with only one having a bedside table and lamp. However the beds were very comfortable which was a definite plus point. I then found another table and lamp in the wardrobe and got the room looking more cosy. The well stocked tea tray was welcome with bottled water too. The bathroom, although old, was large, clean and the shower very good, but could do with a shelf to put your gels or soap in. There was a TV and we were comfortable and happy. Unfortunately we were woken by banging and talking in the corridor at 1.30am, followed by a television going on in the room next door. I considered banging on the wall but didn’t want to escalate the situation and simply tried to ignore it. However this is an old building with thin walls and the disturbance lasted until 3.30am which I told the staff about in the morning. Given the problems at check in I wondered if other family members in the hotel didn’t know that we were staying in the room. Overall, only a little money spent on decorating and furnishings would improve the room and without the disturbance I would have given 4 stars.

There was nothing luxury about the 'deluxe double room.' The room was cold and had a strange damp smell. When we asked if the heating could be turned on we were given a portable heater. The wiring and sockets looked very old and there were extension cables on the floor. The bathroom had mouldy grouting and peeling paint on the ceiling. There were no windows in the bedroom and the door did not fit, so that you could see daylight outside through the gap in the door. Breakfast was not available until 9,30am, and we declined it when it was still not available at 9.30. They seeed a bit bemused when we asked about breakfast, as if this was an unusual request.

Historic inn being renovated. Within easy reach of major Cotswolds towns and sights. Efficient and helpful staff. Fine room but floor sloped slightly- so we rolled downhill in bed!

Beautiful old building, with a really comfortable bed I received a wonderful friendly professional welcome & had an amazing curry from their restaurant. There's also a nice bar & garden Only downside, I couldn't connect to the WiFi
