Really enjoyed our stay would definitely book again.

The experience started well with a warm welcome and a complimentary room upgrade. The room was a good size and had all the facilities that you would expect from a 4 star hotel. The internet in the room was poor, dropping out on the window side of the bed! The so called smart TV wasn’t very smart, as there was no apps and I was unable to connect my phone to it either. The sink was also slow running, which should have been picked up when the room was cleaned . At breakfast although it finished at 1030, fifteen minutes prior to this all juices tea and coffee were taken away, all parties around us were surprised and were going to have more drinks. I reported the issues on leaving the hotel, but the receptionist although saying sorry, didn’t note down any of the problems - so the next guest will have the same issues! What a shame as the building is stunning with lots of period features and just outside of the beautiful city of York.

Staff very friendly and helpful...bad experience all night noisy air conditioning machine .plus listening to running water sounds all night ....

Room had plenty of character- receptionist on check out was a great ambassador for the hotel - on site parking great and fees transparent-pay in hotel as opposed to ticket machine - would definitely go back to the Milner if we return to York

Wonderful experience staying at the Milner in York. The staff are so friendly and welcoming and the hotel is beautiful and exudes a calm and tranquil vibe. The superior twin room was spotless and very comfortable. Very large modern and bright bathroom and wide access rainfall shower. The lighting in the room was a bit dim for me but may suit others. Lovely pool which wasn’t busy. Good buffet breakfast which was leisurely and offered a wide variety of options. We requested a late checkout and as it was my birthday and courtesy of the hotel, I received a complimentary plate of delicious mini cakes which added to the special magic of this wonderful hotel. Staff go the extra mile and are happy to cater for any request. Ideally placed for walking around the stunning historic sites of York and jumping on the train home! Definitely recommended.

Loved the railway history and connection. Access straight to the platform is great. Lovely well maintain hotel was very nice. Staff were excellent.

Fantastic period property that sits in a perfect location to both the city of York itself and conveniently by the train station.

Disappointed that the main bar was not open for New Year’s Eve. Temporary bar in main reception area was inadequate.

Had a lovely stay the hotel was spotless the housekeepers knocked on your door every morning asking if you wanted your room cleaning. Lovely helpful staff, the hotel was lovely we would definitely go back. The only thing i wouldnt get again is the breakfast we paid £36 for 2 of us which for what we got was expensive, theres plenty of cheaper nice places to eat in york so would go out next time. We will definitely come again though.

Beautiful stay and beautiful hotel. We were upgraded on arrival which was a perfect and unexpected gift, staff were so friendly and accommodating. We loved it here. So convenient and the history that remains including the original door at the rail station end was divine!

It was okay. The staff were very nice, but the room lacked in cleanliness and some facilities were faulty. There was also a great deal of noise coming from the lift which was directly behind the head board. Blinds didn’t open, carpets and curtains were stained. Bedding was unclean.
