Very nice and friendly staff and local residents. Most relaxing and very quiet

Website states rooms situated on pub forecourt, it is in fact the pub garden. Which means, if you have the windows or doors open, you have cigarette smoke blowing in. Tables and benches are placed right outside of our property therefore no privacy at all. This feels more like staff living quarters than a holiday let.

Don’t expect any nice touches - there aren’t any. No toiletries, not even an inch of hand soap, no biscuits, basic Nescafé sachet coffees. Phone to query with Bernice as she said to contact but just got told to let bar staff sort. The gorgeous and really helpful blonde girl tried very much to do her best and was embarrassed to present us with a men’s 3/4 bottle of Bayliss and Harding body wash (smell not good) and a new liquid hand soap still unhappy I called and left a message with Bernice and did. It ever receive acknowledgement or response from her let alone an apology!! Would like to say though, room was ok, bed was comfortable. Ended up having to have a meal in the lovely courtyard as couldn’t freshen up and wash hair to go out etc. The food was simple home cooked food, pie and mash. Scampi and chips, honey and mustard chicken etc but was fine. Breakfast in the morning was in the main nice. Enjoyed watching England with the locals on the big screen and met some lovely people also staying and also surprised no toiletries or biscuits. Please try harder with the little things and improve customer service they mean so much. Doesn’t cost much to have manners xx

Friendly and helpful staff. Peaceful location with a very comfortable bed. The breakfast was fabulous!

I came with the intention of simply using the Old Inn as a place to sleep as we had to attend an event nearby, but everything was so good we intend to return just to spend time at the old Inn and the village.

A very welcoming greeting upon arrival. The room was lovely and clean with plenty of storage space. The breakfast was very good and certainly set you up for the day. I didn’t eat in the pub for an evening meal, but it was a very quaint country pub, full of atmosphere. The menu choices looked very good, and if the breakfast was anything to go by I’m sure the meals would be very good too. Highly recommend the old inn.

A beautiful old Inn which was welcoming, warm and comfortable, all in keeping with the history of the building and the surrounding locale. Great food, and wonderful, attentive staff mad our stay very enjoyable. Thank you!

I really enjoyed staying here - nice room, good food, a skittles alley to play on, and really friendly, accommodating staff. The only issue was that the accommodation can be a little noisy as it faces onto the beer garden of the inn, but I don’t think that spoiled our enjoyment (just something to be aware of)

Lovely stay

Unfortunately the room wasn't ready for us and was very dirty. We had to wait outside in the rain for it to be cleaned as the pub was closed. We ended up deciding to stay elsewhere as we felt uncomfortable staying in such a dirty room. Such a shame as the pub is lovely and the girl behind the bar was very helpful, as much as she could be. It's just the state of the b&b room left us feeling they didn't know we were coming.

We really enjoyed the pub and the food was nice. The rooms felt quite unclean, floor was dirty upon arrival and lots of dust everywhere, didn’t use the coffee facilities as was covered in dust. Strong mildew smell, however bed was comfortable. The shower was weak and hard to maintain a consistent temperature. Is a very small village which is peaceful. Personally won’t stay again due to smell in room & cleanliness. Very nice host who was welcoming.

We used The Old Inn as a base for visiting places in beautiful Devon. A very charming and quiet place and a perfect host.

Lovely old pub in a lovely friendly village. Staff were lovely and friendly and food was great especially the breakfast The last manager (forgot her name!) was really friendly and couldn't do any more for us. Will be back

The property was quiet. Just one member of staff, very helpful.

Leaia was the perfect hostess, lovely comfortable annex room in the courtyard, comfortable beds, lovely bedding, ensuite shower room. Plenty off parking. We had a meal at the inn in the evening, walked round the pretty village. Ecellent cooked breakfast. Would certainly return. Thank you.

Enjoyed my stay very much, enjoyable evening with the manageress and other guests in conversation, made very welcome, room was excellent and food was very good, sorry to leave.

I chose The Old Inn as somewhere to stay while exploring Lyme Regis and what a find it was. Happy to both recommend and stay again in the future.
