Very convenient location: easy to access areas of interest by road but equally easy to walk into Bristol via Clifton suspension bridge, despite being out in the countryside. Quirky, character property with a fascinating history. The Orangery apartment has everything that you would need - so much so that you could move straight in! Owner, Nick, is a kind, considerate host who will notice that you need something even before you realise this yourself! (We had a flat tyre and a pump magically appeared on the doorstep whilst we were out!). Local pub is friendly with great food.
Only downside is that apartment can feel a bit chilly being an historic, stone property. However, there is plenty of bedding and once the various heaters have been located and activated it warms up pretty quickly. We'd definitely stay again if in the area.
