On website it said breakfast included also through the Expedia website but when we went to order breakfast we were told it wasn’t included. We were checking out on a Monday morning which I may add is 10am only to discover the Plough is closed hence no breakfast. We had a 2 night stay and our towels or bin wasn’t changed in fact no housekeeping. As I result there wasn’t enough loo roll disappointed with food as only light snacks available when we arrived around 2.30

1 useable plug socket. Had to put kettle on floor to reach plug socket, no breakfast… despite it saying it was included. Overall not a great stay

The room & staff were fine. Not fine is that my receipt says we paid for a free breakfast as an "included amenity" when per the guests guide in the room that only applies to bookings from 2024. Worse, it's STILL shown as an included amenity on hotels.com, more than 1 year after it became no longer available. I left a hotels.com message with The Plough on 4 Feb 2026 advising them, but have not had the courtesy of a response. We didn't receive several hundred pounds worth of breakfast during our 20 day stay, so we're quite unhappy

The lady who greeted us and bar staff were very polite and friendly. Food was excellent. Room were ok, not in our opinion boutique, but quirky.Yes the beds are very squeaky. Rooms could possibly could benefit from a little TLC. Saying that the price and location to Bicester village was the reason we booked.The only other thing is the confusion over breakfast included. This could be an error of the hotel or the website. Nether the less, breakfast is not included.

Unfortunately i paid for bed and breakfast but discovered in arrival tha tthis isnt provided any more I spoke with a member of staff who said he would investigate as this is an issue with third party sites but unfortunately didnt get back to me and staff were available in the morning

Great location and the staff were incredible! Breakfast was such good value for money, we can't recomend it enough :)

Property was great. Welcoming staff, great food. Only slight issue was that Expedia hadn’t communicated with the property about the breakfast inclusion. Not a problem for us, the staff were really helpful, but not great from Expedia.

Absolutely awful hotel - not what it was described as - and filthy dirty!

It's expensive in comparison to other local places to stay. They took a £50 "deposit" supposedly for the mini bar claiming it will only be charged if the minibar is used. But, unlike other hotels who don't process the payment, it has been charged even though the mini bar wasn't used. Unlike other places I've stayed, no reply so far to my message asking where my refund is. ;(

There is no concept of customer service. No toilet paper in the room. No way to get any. Promised “ breakfast box” never appeared. Two “ emergency contact “ numbers went unanswered. Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. DO NOT STAY HERE

On arrival I was told that the kitchen wasn't open that night and I could get something to eat locally, I asked for a VAT receipt and was told I'd get that in the morning. I went doen for breakfast (which I'd paid for) in the morning, to find that everywhere was locked up. I tried again later and it was still locked up. I tried again at 8:30 and a couple of guys were there and they told me that they only open at 10am, despite their website saying that they open at 7am. I was working and needed to be on site, nearby for 9am so I left. I received an emailed receipt later in the day, the rate included breakfast! The internet didn't work, there was no kettle in the room (there was a coffee machine) and you had to move furniture to get to a plug point to charge your phone etc.

Check in. Friendly although undertrained girl who informed me breakfast served up to 8:45am. I’d booked through hotels.com and booking stated including breakfast. Room. Very small. But not too bad. Evening meal. Waited around to be seated quite a while but eventually got table (place wasn’t busy). First girl from reception came over to table and said she had forgotten to take £50 deposit against damage. Never like if when asked for this sort of thing, but maybe that’s just me. Meal was good. Next morning came down to go for breakfast around 7:45. Whole place locked up and no staff at all on premises. Went back to room and worked for an hour. Came back down 8:45am. In case the girl had said started 8:45 (which would be unusual, but could happen I suppose). Still no one around. Left as I had meeting to go to. Came back about 11:30 as I’d dopily left my phone in room 🙄 There was a staff member there having a smoke and tea and after I got my phone I said to her that I’d tried to get my breakfast. She said ‘oh they don’t do breakfast any more.’ She was nice enough but wasn’t bothered really. No hint of a ‘sorry’ I try to go to establishments that aren’t your standard Premier Inn or Holiday Inn, but sometimes you wonder why you bother. Avoid.

It's a great little country pub. The welcome was warm, and the breakfast was very good. My room was ok (room 5 first floor), the ensuite is small (a larger person would not fit). The bed was creaky and uncomfortable and the noise from the bar is very loud.

Very nice pub good owners friendly and efficient but room was very cold albeit cold outside but it was rectified with a heater

Nice place to stay. Could do with a car charger as a bonus.

Room was very tired, tried to be shabby chic, just shabby. When booking the free breakfast was a draw, it turned out to be in a cardboard box in the room, we turned it down. The room was clean and the staff were nice. Not worth the money by a long stretch.

I booked the small room and was surprised how spacious and comfortable it is. It’s a very old building, room is well appointed and incredibly comfortable. Breakfast delivered to room each morning was convenient and delicious.
