Worth a visit

Nice country pub room was clean and comfortable with ensuite. Staff are great and the pub has a nice relaxed feel with a bar area used by the locals (Friendly) with everything you want from a country pub. Restaurant area separate from the pub with a good varied menu.the food I had was great and good value for money. I will definitely stay here again if I am in the area.

It's a fantastic place to stay and eat.The hospitality is great and nothing is too much. Well done to all who work there. Evening meal and breakfast were excellent quality and quantity.

We are returning guests and love staying here. Really friendly, nothing is too much trouble, the room is great and we loved every meal, what's not to like!

Superb hospitality

Very cosy accommodation high on Exmoor. Comfortable, friendly and good value. Perfect overnight stop during our walk along the Coleridge Way.

Friendliness of staff second to none, nothing was too much trouble and we did have a couple of special requests. Most generous breakfast I've ever come across, and the quality of the food was excellent, both breakfast and dinner. Loved staying here and wouldn't hesitate to stay again if we are back in the area.

Staff very hardworking

A wonderful family owned Inn which is situated in a beautiful location. My family and I were welcomed by the owners and were made to feel very welcome by them and all their friendly, chatty staff. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they were very accommodating. The Rest and Be Thankful has a lot of history and character and there are lots of photos of the Inn and surrounding area from many years ago. The Inn was kept very clean as was our room and we had a comfortable stay. The food was excellent, always hot and cooked well and was delicious. The bar has a good selection of local ales and cider on draft as well as other tipples. Will definitely book and stay here again in the future. Thank you to Eric, Caz and all the staff for providing us with a comfortable and enjoyable stay!

Hotel is clean food was good staff where very friendly and helpful Eric went out of is way to help other people a proper gentleman you don't get that much these days.
