Absolutely wonderful stay. We were made to feel so welcome and well cared for. After letting the team know about our special dietary requirements (gluten-free), the manager was outstanding in ensuring we were fully accommodated — to the point that the service surpassed what I’ve experienced in some so-called 5-star hotels. A special mention to Evie, who was an absolute delight. Our room was clean and beautifully presented — a testament to excellent housekeeping.

Rooms were clean and comfortable; some of the hotel was going through a refurb, so naturally some areas a bit messy. Evening meal was excellent; Breakfast was decidedly average. Customer service was perfectly adequate but just felt a bit transactional

The Swan is great for travelers on the Cotswold Way. The rooms are in generally good condition and were clean and surprisingly large. However, the bed we had was marginal at best. The mattress sagged so badly that we spent most of the night pushing toward the edge of the bed to not feel like hotdogs in a bun! The pillows were also well past their expiration date. If you’re not fussy about these things and can sleep anywhere, then you’ll be fine.

Over priced. No internet in the rooms with absolutely no accountability or plans to get this sorted. It was a shrug of the shoulders. If I’m paying 175 quid, I don’t expect to get dressed & go down to the bar each time I want to use the internet.

Friendly with a lovely newly decorated room.

Good place to stay while walking the Cotswold Way. It was a classic pub and the rooms were comfy and clean. We enjoyed the onsite dining as we had walked quite a long way the day we arrived. Enjoyed our stay.

The room was spacious and airy in Hotel in the centre of the village but for the price I expected a better class of Room with better facilities overall.

First time I've done a review, I felt I had to. The place is going to be great for sure, but it's still being developed. The actual room is lovely and cannot be faulted, brand new and immaculate. But the route to the room is a building site, the environment isn't ready, there is stuff everywhere and no heating. The room had no heating switched on when I entered it, it was freezing, this was soon remedied when the electric storage heaters where turned on. This should have been done prior to my arrival. The biggest problem was there was no internet available in the room, this is unheard of in 2025. As I was on business this meant I was unable to work. The room was £102 with no parking, no internet, no breakfast, and in the middle of a building site outside the actual room I stayed in. As I said, the room itself was perfect, but was it worth £102.....no.

Great little Inn great service and food. Rooms had everything needed. Great value for the money. Wotton Under Edge quaint town.

Wonderful! Get room 19 if you want a huge room with a large sunken bathroom and an outdoor deck overlooking the pub across the square!

Old hotel in the centre of town - the accommodation was of a very good standard. Staff were good and the food was equally good. Nothing to say negative at all - I would recommend and stay here again.

The staff were very welcoming however the bed was the worst I had slept in for a very long time. The mattress was lumpy and I woke with a very sore back. We paid for a double room, whilst not pricey also more expensive than local airbnbs so at bear minimum I would have expected a double bed and not 2 singles pushed together with a big lump down the middle!

The hotel restaurant was excellent. Shower was very nice. Other restaurants and shopping near by.

Very comfortable and clean room. Friendly and efficient staff - though rushed off their feet, serving a varied range of meals for our table of seven was accomplished with a welcoming attitude.

Beautiful country inn. Excellent staff. Right on the Cotswold Way. Room was terrific. Thank you for helping us relax on our journey to Bath.
