The Village Inn

Everything was great but I realised (too late) that there was no shampoo or shower gel! So probably my fault for not paying attention?! I normally bring my own but I forgot. All staff were totally professional, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent; toast, cereal, fruit juice, tea or coffee and full English, vegetarian etc are all available if you would like. And the restaurant food was amazing! Well worth a visit! Thank you to everyone who works there, you do a wonderful job!

Beds in accommodation extremely poor, linen and pillows need replacing, inadequate toiletries, loose wiring around the room. On the plus side room was warm and breakfast was good, however, evening meal was basic , and poorly executed, as well as limited choice. No real ale on the bar.

Enjoyed our overnight stay. Staff were great and breakfast was lovely. Room very clean and newly decorated and was set in a block in the courtyard at the rear of the Inn. Very happy with the stay, and would definitely stay again if we're in the area.

Very good food (breakfast) comfy bed safe warm room good staff pub is a really nice setting also heard Parmo is really good from here The price for the room and breakfast was absolutely unbelievable value for money would stay again 10/10

I stayed 2 nights. First night I had a meal in pub attached. Ok, very nice people tried to make sure wverything was ok, even offered to make me a sandwich for the road as I was leaving early in the morning. I would stay again. Note the pub is not open Sunday night.

Lovely little cottage style room, nice comfy bed with modern furniture. Very clean and delicious freshly cooked breakfast.

We only had a brief stop over as was meeing up with family. Lovely place and location. Room was roomy with comfortable bed. Breakfast was excellent.

Lovely well located hotel, great unique layout, felt really well looked after.

Overnight stay. Staff were very polite and helpful, the food was good. The shower cubicle in the room needs replacing as does the seal and the mastic.

The dining experience was wonderful. The room had an ensuite and was comfortable.

My room was comfortable and clean, the staff were great and really helpful. Unfortunately the Wi-Fi was unavailable due to technical issues and was not restored even the next morning which prevented me from completing my remaining work tasks on my laptop. Breakfast does not start until 08:00 which was too late for my requirements.

Friendly staff and the breakfast was good. The room, although spacious, needed a good clean, especially the bathroom. There were loads of dead, small flies on the windowsill and several live woodlice on the floor.

Brilliant place for a short stay, we stayed 1 night and it was lovely the room was very clean and tidy the bed was comfortable there are no draws for clothes but for a short stay it didnt matter. Breakfast was included there was a selection of cereal, toast and cooked breakfast to order which was very nice. Fresh juice and tea and coffee only downside you had to pay extra for a latte but not a big deal. Price was perfect as well. The village itself is beautiful so peaceful and quiet. Will be visiting again !!
