Nice clean room with small ensuite shower room, modern and warm. Pleasant bar well stocked, delightful food and menu options, well presented. On sight car parking.

Needs: In-room fridge - cupboard space appears to be there for it; Noise insulation - can hear snoring between floors and can't sleep in with early cleaners; Ergonomic chair to enable prolonged use for work; More attentive serving staff - busy talking or doing other things without looking over; Consistent customer service between staff. Rooms are nice and clean. Afternoon tea is generous.

lovely room but very strong smell of sewage

Booked as a Christmas catch up for friends. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Service was excellent from check in through to the bar and restaurant staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening meal and breakfast the next morning also could not be faulted. Hopefully we will be back next year.

It’s an okay place overall, but when the staff asked twice—once after we’d eaten and again when paying—if everything was okay with our meal, we mentioned that the Guinness tasted off and that the barrel likely needed changing or the pipes cleaning. We couldn’t drink the pint and left it almost untouched, so it was clear we weren’t trying to get a freebie. The only response we received was, “Okay, sorry to hear that.” I would have expected a replacement drink or a refund given that it was undrinkable. We also overheard another table saying their breakfast wasn’t good, and again they only received an apology with no offer of an alternative or partial refund. It makes me question the point of asking for feedback if nothing is done with it.

Lovely rooms, very clean

Car park is small, but there is parking on the street so not a problem. Check in was quick and easy, but you do have to fill in a pre-booking breakfast form. Room was good, clean and well maintained, bathroom was small

Check in was awful. Girl lacked enthusiasm, lacked customer service skills in our interaction with her. No offer of assistance, even though I was struggling to move around with my walking stick and watched as I struggled to carry my bags up the stairs to my room.

Room was clean but small, far too hot turned everything off but still like an oven. Was in the separate building and as you walked through the door smelt damp. Service in the morning was not good, rang the bell 4 times and when someone eventually came proceeded to keep serving others while I stood there. Ended up not having breakfast due to this and would not use this hotel again. Over priced for the experience and disappointing. Booked due to good reviews so hopefully an isolated experience.

This is a mixed review as we had two rooms and they were viewed very different one good and one not so good, maybe it depends if you are in the main building.so main building very good value for the money, not main building, noisy, bed not good , shower very caravan like.

Stayed for one night. Very friendly staff. Room spotless, comfotable and well decorated. Huge bathroom with an excellant shower. Had dinner and cocktsils in the restaurant which was outstanding. Breakfast really good too. Will definately stay again if doing another multiple university visit

Our 4th visit here. That says a lot. Would not use again if not good. Staff always helpful. Rooms always a good standard. Would stay again if in area.

We were here for a very sad time, but the team of employees here made it bearable by their kindness and professionalism.

All the staff were brilliant, the food was lovely and the restaurant was nice. The area around the swan was quiet nice woodland walks near by overall a lovely place to stay

Nice clean comfy room, well specced with nice decor, however I booked a room with bed and seperate sofa bed but the room I was given was not this. It just had 1 king size bed. The whole stay was let down by a dripping toilet in the bathroom which went on all night and kept me awake. Very annoying.

Second time staying visiting local relatives. This is a lovely hotel clean great staff and the food is fantastic, will stay again great quiet place but good commuting to Lincoln by car for busy attraction

Shower tray not deep enough or drain clogged as it over flowed and no wifi in my room to far from the router won’t be rushing back
