Staff were so friendly and eager to help. Room was cozy and comfy and dining area was very warm and welcoming with an open fire.

Excellent accommodation, perfect for exploring the lakes. Just off the A66 with plenty of parking. I stayed 3 nights in the single room. It was warm, cosy and comfortable with a nice en-suite bathroom. Great food with vegetarian and vegan option. Very reasonably priced and friendly and helpful hosts, I would highly recommend.

Stayed at Troutbeck Inn – a lovely and relaxing experience I had a wonderful stay at Troutbeck Inn. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, with everything needed for a pleasant stay. The atmosphere of the inn is warm and welcoming, and the location is absolutely perfect—peaceful surroundings with beautiful views, ideal for relaxing after a day of exploring the Lake District. The staff were friendly and helpful, making the stay even more enjoyable. The inn has a charming, traditional feel while still being comfortable and cosy. It’s also a great base for visiting nearby attractions and enjoying scenic walks. Overall, a very pleasant stay and I would happily recommend Troutbeck Inn to anyone looking for a comfortable and quiet place to stay in the Lake District. Would definitely return again.

I stayed for a couple of nights at the brilliant Troutbeck Inn during a brief trip south. A first time visit to a welcoming inn which now feels like a home from home, and I very much look forward to returning with a bit more time in hand.

This was a return stay for us. Love the location, rooms are lovely and comfortable and really reasonably priced. We have and evening meal which was superb, we had the steak and ale pie and haddock and chips, excellent value. Staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Would recommend.

I really enjoyed my stay here. I just wish I'd discovered this gem a little sooner. The hosts were very friendly, made me feel welcome and the room was clean, spacious, well-equipped and comfortable. The evenng food menu was exactly what I wanted after a day on the hill. Proper, hearty food, generous servings and a good choice. A great base that I'd highly recommend for the Eastern Fells, or even some of the Northern and Central Fells. Hopefully, I'll get myself here again soon.

Good location for onward travel to or fromt the lakes. Nice friendly staff and food is excellent value for the size and taste.

Perfect for a solo traveler, easy check-in and out, no faff, plenty of tea coffee supplies, good shower. Can’t complain! Would definitely book again

A perfect place for a quick stop to break up my journey. My single room was cosy and well equipped and the dinner in front of the fire was just what I wanted. Also staff were very friendly.

Lovely warm welcome when we arrived, great beer!. The room was very cosy, bed was lovely and comfortable and lovely facilities. Great selection of breakfast options. Excellent friendly service. Will definitely return and highly recommend.

Pleasant stay here for a few nights. Inn owner was lovely and the location was ideal for walks and visiting nearby towns. However, the mattress in the comfort room was very uncomfortable and unfortunately did disturb our sleep. The tv was also located in an awkward position in the room so we ended up dragging furniture to get it more central. On the other hand, the room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was ok but not much variation.
