Excellent stay in a comfortable room with many useful facilities such as tea and coffee, including a nespresso machine, an Echo Dot, a good shower and a comfortable bed. Gary and Jamie were very welcoming and helpful with suggestions on where to visit and where to eat. Will stay there again.

This is such a lovely hotel. Really welcoming staff, comfortable, quiet room and close to shops and eating places in Chard. The breakfast was so good, cooked to order, really can't fault anything.

This hotel is absolutely beautiful the owners are so friendly and welcoming the place is ever so clean the breakfast choices are amazing and the food is delicious will be going back there again soon the rooms are beautiful

Excellent stay. Really friendly and helpful owners. Breakfast was great (poached eggs the best I've ever had). Really helpful with ideas of where to visit, what to see and where to eat. Couple of great recommendations for food. Location is right in the heart of this small town and with pubs and restaurants within a short stroll. Electric charging onsite is a bonus!! Highly recommended

We had a warm welcome at Watermead House. Having booked very late, our room was on the top floor. It was extremely comfortable with tea/coffee making facilities, a large screen television and a spacious shower. We found it lovely and quiet. We appreciated the advice on local restaurants which were a short walk away. Breakfast was exceptional, ordered the evening before from a wide selection so no delay and very tasty.

Warm welcoming hosts. Really comfortable bed. Lots of attention to detail and can see they are continuing to invest in the property in the interest of providing a great experience for its guests. Parking is a huge plus as difficult to park in Chard and you can walk right onto the highstreet to pubs and restaurants. Would stay again.

Put me in one of the attic rooms. 2 flights of stairs and one was step and narrow. Room had shed ceiling about 3 feet from floor, head burns repeatedly , also very warm room temp. Full breakfast average

I was there for an overnight stay as I worked locally. Great little place, clean and friendly. Fantastic English breakfast which you can book the night before with a QR code. No complaints and would stay again.

Trudy and David made me feel very welcome; my room was upgraded at no extra cost and i had my suitcase carried up to my room. Every was in the room that I needed! The breakfast was also very nice- all local produce used. I shall certainly stay at Watermead again if i am in the area!

Both Trudy & Dave were lovely Room looked over the lovely garden, it was spacious with shower gel, hair wash & hand soap all provided, breakfast was amazing if you wanted a full english, all cooked to order, breakfast room spotless plus a lovely lounge to, peaceful B&B with lovely hosts as well

Watermead guest house is a very welcoming place. Trudy and David are the perfect hosts. A lovely cooked breakfast every day, room very clean and comfortable.

Trudy and David were excellent hosts and could not fault the service. I will certainly return when down near Chard in the future.

Despite booking and paying in advance, the owner was not expecting us. At 8.30pm after a long day this is the last thing anyone wants to hear. The owner then proceeded to blame Expedia and others for the mistake - the owner told us that they had no rooms left but wasn’t apologetic and then offered an alternative room in an annexe they normally use for Airbnb. At least we had a place to stay! We left early in the morning and didn’t stay for breakfast as we were disappointed with the whole experience!

Great place to stay. Very friendly and helpful. Breakfast as always is fantastic.
