YHA 윈더미어 - 호스텔

샤워실이 방 밖에있는것이 아쉽지만 전반적으로 가격대비 훌륭함. 버스를 타려면 좀 걸어야 하지만 윈더미어 특성상 어쩔 수 없어보임.

All good except for inconsiderate parking of vehicles

Amazing staff, no WiFi in room, no signal, no hot water after 10

The location is wonderul! Beautiful views, and very peaceful. If you don't have a car its a long walk up the hill from Windermere. I had everything I needed for a relaxied stay. Obviously this is a hostel so you can't account for other noisy guests, however there is a policy to meep the noise down between 11pm and 7am. Breakfast looked good although I brought my own. The guest kitchen is quite small but is well equipped. Evening meals looked nice, but again I'd brought my own. There are three small car parks and all were pretty much full, but guests still managed to park. The camp site is in a lovely field not far from the main building. I stayed in a shared female dorm.

We booked a 5 bed room for my friends and I over the easter weekend. And while the property at the time was super busy, we had a wonderful stay. Comfy beds, good rooms, the bathrooms were exceptionally clean. My friend visiting from the US was shocked at how high the standards were of the hostels in the UK. Overall, would definitely recommend. The only thing I'd highlight is that you need to have a car to access the property easily. Google says its a 40min walk from Windermere station but the roads are quite uphill and we ended up using the local taxis instead.

Reasonable price for the location

Super friendly staff, the girl on reception gave great advice. Had a bit of a mix up when booking and they very promptly got in contact and upgraded me to a bell tent which was so cool. Everywhere is really clean and amazing view. Would defo recommend.

Väldigt fint boende i Lake District. Nackdelen för vår vistelse är dock rummet intill där en familj på minst 7 hade tryckt in sig i ett 4 bäddsrum. Barnen skrek och gormade. Slängde igen dörren. Sprang till toaletten utanför oss och slängde igen den säkert minst 200 gånger på en kväll/natt. Och det är utan överdrift kan jag säga. När jag lyfte till personalen om det här knackade de på men gjorde inget större av saken. Pågrund av det här blev det väldigt, väldigt lite sömn under den natten. Dagen efter bad jag om en kaffe som plåster på såren för problematiken och det ville de verkligen inte bjuda på. Tråkigt. Men utöver den här incidenten är det svårt att inte gilla det här boendet. Mysigt läge. Fin natur och absolut humana priser.

The hostel is quite far away from Bowness, only car could be accessible to there, but the biew is breathtaking, and the facilities are more than enough

A great stay. Didn’t hear much noise from other people which is nice. The kitchen doesn’t have a great selection of pans, and there didn’t seem to be any cooking oil which is commonly found in hostels. The bunk beds are quite short. I’m not very tall, but I was touching both ends of the bunk when lying down.

Great location with views of Lake Windermere from our room and from the back side of the hostel. Self-catering kitchen and good breakfast including vegan and vegetarian options. Plenty of car parking spaces for all guests. Very clean and hygienic kitchen and rooms.
