Even in Europe, the summer season (June - August) is hotter than it used to be. It is very unfortunate that there is no air conditioning inside the hotel. I think it is better to stay during the spring, autumn, or winter.

청결 상태가 매우 불량합니다. 머리카락은 기본이고, 세면대에 갈색 얼룩이 있었습니다. 슬리퍼도 없고, 어메니티 일체 없습니다. 무엇보다 최악은 방음이 너무 안되어 있어서 옆방 휴대폰 벨소리, 대화 목소리까지 그대로 들렸습니다.

Hotelliin check in ja check out toimi suoraan puhelimella joten todella mutkatonta ja nopeaa. Huoneen ovi avattiin myös puhelimella joten vaivatonta. Aamupala oli runsas ja monipuolinen. Hotellin sijainti oli meille loistava.

Der wichtigste Vorteil des Hotels ist die Lage im sehr empfehlenswerten Roterman-Quartier in der Nähe zur Altstadt. Man kann fast alles zu Fuß erreichen und erledigen. Gute ÖPNV-Anbidnung. Unser Hauptproblem war die schlechte Belüftung und Klimatisierung. Es ließ sich nur ein kleines Fenster auf Kipp öffnen, und es gab keine Klimaanlage. Dadurch war es auf Grund der hohen Außentemperaturen ein schlechtes Raumklima und damit ein nicht erholsamer Schlaf. Frühstück war bis auf einige regionale Besonderheiten Standard. Ein Problem unserer gesamten Reise durch das Baltikum war eine hohe nächtliche Lautstärke mit Überschreitung der Lärmgrenze durch meist junge Männer mit hochmotorisierten Motorrädern und Autos, z.T. mit programmierten Fehlzündungen, und die fehlende Anwesenheit von Sicherheitsorganen, um dieses unsinnige Verhalten zu unterbinden.

Perus hyvä. Aamianen melko perus ei mitään erikoisuuksia. Huone kiva mutta vessa aika vanhan oloinen. Suihkussa ollessa lattiakaivo ei imenyt vaan seisoin 5cm vesilätäkössä.

Varoitus. Jos otat standard -huoneen, etkä halua saunaa, pyydä se ilman saunaa! Meillä oli oikein kiva huone, mutta ”ilman saunaa”, joten sauna oli lukittu. Ei siinä mitään, emme sitä kaivanneetkaan, mutta edellinen asukas oli ilmeisesti saunonut, koska sauna oli lämmin ja huone kuuma … Henkilökunnan ”I am vety sorry” ei paljon lohduttanut huonosti nukutun yön jälkeen.

Sijainti oli erittäin mieluinen

Hotel if very clean, but the bathroom had quite an unpleasant strong smell in the morning. Seemed like a plumbing issue. The rooms are very minimalistic and a bit outdated. Beside that, very helpful stuff and nice location.

Huoneen ilmanvaihto piti yöllä melko kovaa ääntä. Aamupala oli melko keskinkertainen.

2 minutes walk from good restaurants and 15 minutes to old city.

Be aware that there’re two separate hotels in the same building: one has the spa, the other one doesn’t, yet both have “Metropol” in the name, which is extremely confusing and disappointing especially when travelling in a larger group and finding out upon check-in that the parties have ended up in completely different hotels. Each hotel has its own restaurant/breakfast hall so beware when booking to ensure all parties end up in the same hotel to be able to eat breakfast together. The breakfast options for vegans and vegetarians were limited. We appreciated the size of the room but the beds were hard. Paid parking worked out well. However, it is beyond mind-blowing why two hotels with almost the same name are being run in the same building making our entire customer experience far from seamless and satisfactory. Our recommendation is that the management make a clear distinction between these hotels by naming them differently to avoid disappointment and confusion among future guests. Our experience could have been improved if reception staff had offered to move us to the other hotel even if for an additional fee or at least offered to refund the breakfast fees, which we now paid double of to be able to dine with our friends at the end of the hallway. However, none of these options were offered to us so we shall not be returning. We stayed in a different hotel towards the end of our visit, and could not be more pleased with the service, facilities, and cleanliness.

Savnet bedre ventilasjon på rommet. Det ble varmt. Luftkvaliteten kunne vært bedre på rommet.

Toinen hissi rikki eikä korjausta saatu alkamaan oleskelumme aikana, tv oli äänetön ja jalkapallon seuraaminen ei ollut mukavaa ilman ääntä, tupakansavu nousi huoneeseen kun kävivät tupakalla sisäänkäynnin ulkopuolella ikkuna piti pitää auki ilmastoin puuttuessa.No ei enää tähän hotelliin.

Location is really good and it was well kept. My main issue with my stay was room temperature. It was too hot and opening the window wasn’t effective at lowering the temperature. It wasn’t a hot time of year but the heat in the room made sleeping difficult. We stayed here more than once and it was an issue both times in different rooms. The classic room doesn’t have AC or any ventilation system. I cannot imagine how hot these rooms would be in peak summer. Breakfast on our last day was overwhelmed. It looked like a large tour group was departing so coffee cups ran out and people had to spill out into reception to find a seat. It was a crazy thirty minutes and then things got back to normal. One other irritation is the hotel buddy online check in system. Firstly, even if you have stayed before it still wants you to enter loads of details again and upload your passport. Secondly, when you go to pay it defaults to offering to convert to your local currency. Like ATM’s and card terminals that do this, you end up paying more if you choose your home currency. Watch out for that little trick. The difference between euros and gbp was around 5 gbp more than my bank rate.

Unfortunately, my stay was impacted by a couple of issues. The main problem was that the air conditioning system was undergoing renovation throughout the hotel. As a result, the air conditioning in my room was not working. However, this was not communicated to me until after I had spent my first night in the room and enquired at reception about the issue. Reception staff were helpful and provided a small plug-in fan, which was appreciated, but it would have been better to have been informed of the situation upon arrival. There was also an unpleasant drainage smell coming from the bathroom. Thankfully, the odour was contained to the bathroom and did not extend into the bedroom area, but it was still noticeable and detracted from the overall comfort of the room. While the staff were helpful when I raised these concerns, I feel the hotel should be more proactive in informing guests about significant maintenance works and addressing maintenance issues within the rooms.

Check in was easy location is great. Spa use is a bit of a con, 18 euros and not given a towel.
